The Doctor said "Oi, I bet you're wondering where my sonic's gone off to. Look deep inside yourself and you'll find it."
To which Sherlock responded, with a sheepish grin, "I've already deduced where it is based off of the sonic vibrations."
Why do people say this on **** comments, i mean it's kinda understandable on a good comment where they're annoyed they'll miss possible thumbs but on unnecessary comments what's the point
Well, there are few fun comic series etc. that involve extreme crossover, like good old thepunchlineismachismo.com/ , and yet don't drip with autism for some reason.
It can be done well, but it's just too easy to make it go horribly wrong.
Comics, as a format, is a completely different matter
Crossovers in that medium can work really well
that Rick and Morty/Gravity Falls one comes to mind as a good example
Problem is that fan fiction, comparatively, has a way higher capacity for autism
It's already hard enough to sift through the ******** in regular fan fiction to find the good ****
Crossover fan fiction adds that extra edge that makes it basically the land of no return.
That's true. Most people can't write for **** , and every story they make is just a wild ride of ****** shipping, Mary Sues, and everyone acting completely out of character.
superwho same as me.. i guess i dont really participate in fandoms though and i still haven't watched this seasons who i watched sherlock and i like the actual sherlock books but i couldn't get into cucumbersnatchs portrayal
If it makes it less daunting, you are 100% absolutely allowed to stop watching after season 5 with nobody able to criticize your choice. 5 was the original creator's canonical ending, everything else was people saying "There's more money in this, let's keep hitting it until it stops puking it up". It's still OK after 5, but there's a lot of backwards character development.
the non serious episodes are great the "serious" epsisodes lose their sense of importance since each season a new baddy takes their place and this its personaler
Part of the reason I liked 5 and earlier so much more than what I already said is that it allowed episodes to be both serious and plot impactful and still have an undertone of good humor to them. Hammer of the Gods (S5E19) is my favorite because it manages to balance the inherent absurdity of its core concept with the stakes of the main story so ******* well that you don't even notice when they start playing a clip from a softcore porno featuring one of the most powerful supernatural(hehehe) beings in the universe at the time. It all fits into place so well that it seems almost expected, where else could they have gone with it? No episode since has managed to keep up that quality, at least to me.
I honestly think that doctor who fans are the "strangest"
Sherlock fans are mostly teen girls who are into whole homoeroticism between main characters :3333333333
Yes... supernatural is neither weird nor are its fans. Guy fans are i guess alright. Women fans are pretty much the same **** as with sherlock except they are bit edgy... saying **** like: when i die i'll go to hell and tell satan to get off my chair XDDDDDD
He could be great if the show had different writers. Tennant had great writing and stories behind him which is why (as well as him being a really good actor) he's seen as the best
Seriously, if it wasn't for Disney (Pixar included), Tarantino/Rodriguez and Guy Richie, I'd probably agree with him. And as for TV goes, only HBO are more consistent.
I don't think you can blame Britain as a whole for one company dude... Fox gets away with tons of **** in America because of their part of the fundamental media outlets in the country. Lots of companies do this, but BBC has had more ******* than the other ones, which is why they get flack for it.
you've not any castle laws either, list goes on, we've all heard it.
you're obviously not american if you think fox has any more sway than any other news station. They've had **** ups, and people always call them on it, very publicly. We can do that since even though Fox is big, they don't have a stranglehold on literally every media outlet in the country.
That is true, but if Fox were a major outlet in a much smaller country, they would be exactly the same. The difference is size and audience. BBC is the ONLY major broadcasting company in Britain. I know of Fox, NBC, ABC, TBS, HBO, all those companies, but in Britain there's only BBC.
I'm not saying BBC hasn't done anything **** or that they don't deserve flack, quite the contrary. I just don't think the country of England or the Isles of Britain as a whole should be blamed for allowing it to happen. That's like me saying that I hate America because there are rapists there, as if the general public could do anything about that at all.
Then why the **** do people blame us for the actions our Congress takes? Because we elected our president? If that's the case, then don't you have any freedom/democracy? Make a change then, break the corruption, stop being constantly spied upon, throw out your trashy government and make something better.
Your argument is that because you have such a small population, the BBC is essentially (entitled) to a natural monopoly, since nobody can compete otherwise, but I propose that the real reason there is no competition, is that the BBC conspires with whomever they need to ensure they stay on top - as I said, since they are the media, this is easily done.
Umm... First off I'm not British... I just don't like people generalizing others. Second, I'm not blaming you for all that, am I? I can't speak for others, but I know for a fact that the American people know just as well that what their government does is wrong. The reason you have such a **** government is that they pander to the retards, get them to vote, and when they're in power, there's literally noone who can stop them.
Now, I never said that BBC was entitled to their position as a media monopoly. The BBC simply got that position through being the biggest and the best, and probably making a few dirty deals and keeping the other companies under the radar on purpose. Of course this is a terrible tactic, but if you argue that the entirety of Britain is **** because of this one company, then what do you suggest? That the people rile against it? That the government shuts it down? None of that is going to help now is it? The only thing that could even remotely make a difference is if the company ***** up so badly that their CEO and most of the staff would have to be replaced, but that is highly unlikely to happen, so the show must go on.
Seriously, you need to stop with accusations and generalizing. Not only have you put words in my mouth, but you have bad-mouthed an entire country based on a company residing there. Like, really? Just... If you can speak with such big words, maybe you can think a bit bigger too; outside yourself, and see that your words may be interpreted quite harshly to the people you are misjudging.
