This is a long shot, but does anyone have a comic showing an attendance check in a german school?
The teacher is reading off arab sounding names in the "Shaikh Kalil Zaheed" format, and then he mispronounces a typical german girls name so it sounds muslim as well.
She then says "But teacher, my name is Sarah" (or something like that).
I know I saw this comic on FJ in the comments, so maybe someone else remembers it.

sorry, online articles arent really credible usually.
i prefer printed books when i want to research a topic properly. usually tend to read around a dozen books around a certain topic before i even dare to say that i heard or read about something.
a few thousand pages of information are better than these short online articles...

Im sure most of the population are on edge, or tending to think like people in the content and having a friend say stuff like "yeah, i participate in these rallies, we gotta show we're no pushovers" and join. Its how it goes, its mouth-propaganda at work.
I doubt it will go smoothly or fast, but im personally glad its happening, in germany on top of all too, so the rest of the EU is likely to follow

Not really Syria's fault. The country had one of the most secular societies in the Middle East, but the West and the Gulf states supported a sectarian rebellion. The country's devastated now and thousands upon thousands of European Muslims went to Syria to fight in the jihad (along with many more from other ME and North African countries).

They've been doing their thing since the 60's and still command no power in parliament. I believe that while they do have some support, such right wing activists will likely not win the hearts and minds of German majority.
But who knows, maybe these tough times can prove to their advantage, and we'll be able to watch history repeat itself.
