Like I said, I can give a lot of stuff a pass. I've grown since then, but gore is something that I just can't handle. I'm squeamish. It makes me want to vomit every time I see detailed gore or torture.

It's just something that I can't physically move passed. I've tried. I've watched things to try and get over it, but my god, the feeling it gives is just so intense and sickening that I can't follow through.

I've been on this website a very, very long time. However, the only times I see gore are generally in morbid channels. Which is where I'd prefer it to be. I don't actively go out and try to find things that make me sick. I actively avoid them. Any time a morbid-channel post appears, I immediately skip it, because I don't want to see it.

extensive industries had popped up to support the nation building and the workers that did it.
building supplies, housing, food, transportation, etc.
all would collapse.
and as we can see from recent financial crisises, it takes far less than that to shatter an economy.

the only reason this didn't happen (instantly) was because of the war breaking out.
war breaks out: those working in the infrastructure industries could simply enlist in the army, or get the job from someone else that enlisted.

so the war kept the economy going, for then.
germany lost: economy completely shattered, far worse than it was before the war. previously mentioned infrastructure bombed to smitherins.

but let's just entertain the thought of germany winning the war: army no longer needed, millions of unemployed men, many of whom were wounded, or mentally scarred by the war.

the only way to keep the economy going would be to engage in another, smaller war.
then after that, another even smaller war again.
and that way gradually downsize.

and even this would require immense amounts of resources.

no, if you want to credit the germans for building an economy from rubble, do NOT look to pre-war germany
look to post-war germany.
because post-war germany rebuilt their country from the absolutely shattered mess that the nazis had left it.
and they turned it into the economic powerhouse of europe.

1: you're missing the point. The point is you cannot take a tenet of a civilization and apply it to anything to compare that thing to said civilization.
2: The reason collapse is perceived as imminent is actually because Hitler didn't listen to Albert Speer or any of his building planners well enough to make a formidable plan; for example, when Speer suggested building energy plants one at a time seeing as building them traditionally would see them completed in 1944, he simply stated his confidence in Germany existing that long.
3: "collapse" actually wouldn't have happened. Take the US for example: jobs created during wartime were soon to be washed up and ruin the economy when it was over, right? Wrong; after WWII the US's economy actually improved, seeing now they became a world superpower. That would have been applied to Germany had they won.
4: Was Germany that well off post-war, anyway? They didn't rebuild themselves, the allies and the soviets did. Do you know nothing about the cold war?
