Independence Day sequel...


Will Smith isn't in it. And despite people posting on youtube and **** saying he wanted both his kids in it he opted out in 2014 after the failure of 'After Earth' and because he wasn't keen on another father/son film (which was what the director Roland Emmerich had in mind initially). He also costs 20 millions dollars per film so that cost also meant they couldn't really afford him as well. Here's a quote from the Emmerich about Will Smith being in the film.

"In the very beginning, I wanted to work with him and he was excited to be in it but then after a while he was tired of sequels, and he did another science fiction film, which was his father-son story, so he opted out."

Before watching this trailer I thought: Independence Day doesnt need a sequell come on, considering how many seem to dislike the original I love it and its imperfections. why would they possibly make a sequel? They are probably just doing it for a quick cash injection.

After watching this trailer I thought the exact same thing.

Also Its too bad Will smith isnt in it but then again if he was in it Jaden Smith would probably have to be in it with him for some stupid reason so maybe its a good thing.

I dont remember exacly who but a while back (Independence day doesnt come up as a subject that often) there were some talk about it and almost everyone said it was bad.

it was one of my childhood movies on VHS
I saw it at least 10 times

that means it wasn't bad, wasn't great, but wasn't bad
