Actually the concept of the "anvil cloud" is warped. Most Cumulonimbus clouds (Those big thunderclouds that make rain like your gf when she sees me for those of you who don't do meteorology) are actually anvil-shaped, except we just can't see the top. Since they go to the top of the troposphere we don't normally see the top so we just see a huge-ass mass of lightning and rain and dark clouds.
As for the Cirrus kelvin-helmholtz, that cloud is rather rare and is formed like a tornado: The cirrus cloud is formed, then it is swirled around by opposite wind currents, and eventually looks like a spiral. They are uncommon because when you have 2 giant wind currents smashing against each other and moving evaporated water around, the water is not going to stay around for long.
Lenticular clouds are also uncommon, but for a different reason. The nature of lenticular clouds (they're rounded and smooshy, to be rather descriptive) is only created at high altutudes.
