In an alternate universe...

steers:
Just fillet) out my health insurance forms!
yeah!!! ******* around with health insurance forms!!!!
I hate when people complain about "oh health forms are stupid they
want my biological sex instead of my generally" or "they only have
male or female!!!"
There' s a reason tor that, you dumb ***** , and they' re referring to
biological sex
Different health risks are present in different sexes, and whatever
gender is in your head does not change the tact that if you were born
female, you have a higher risk tor certain cancers and osteoporosis,
and if you were born male you have a higher risk tor heart disease
and often a shorter lifespan than a female.
In other words, your biological sex is an important factor in health and
health insurance, and your special snowflake status doesn' t change
that.
you may be genderqueer but if you were born male you' re sure as hell not
gonna get cervical cancer but you might get prostate cancer

I say we let them **** around with the health insurance forms, that way when they have some serious illness and try to get a treatment you can't deny their requests because they ****** around with the papers and are, therefore, void, let them die thanks to their own stupidity, that's social cancer killing itself.

you'd be surprised how often i ask people what gender they are (on the internet) and get the answer "it's complicated", "i don't know", or just "i'm trans"
**** woman, i'm asking wether you've got a dick or a cunt in your pants, it's not hard to answer.

Alright after reading the comments I've decided to chip into this cluster **** .

You are either male or female, this is biological and you don't get a say in that.
You chop off your balls? Doesn't make you a woman just makes you a eunuch.
You feel like a man in a woman's body or the reverse? Good for you, It don't change **** though.
You are either male or female, I don't care if you like a dick in your ass or like to rant on tumbler; 'Cause it don't change **** .

Which is why if you have ever had a sex change, no matter how far gone you are, I will always refer to you as the gender you originally are.
User avatar #3 to #2 - twistedwoodthing (05/04/2014) [-]
They just explained that the difference is important on insurance forms for medical reasons. If you're an individual having a conversation with another individual, you're talking to them and not their medical history, so it's best to refer to them as the gender they identify as.

While there is some truth to this, there is also an equally valid counter-argument. There are measurable physical differences between 'mainstream' gender/orientation (I won't say 'normal' because people will be offended - but MOST people identify as the gender they are born with and are attracted to the opposite sex).

Some research even suggests a biological/physical reason for why some people feel they should be the other gender.

Medical risks are determined by classifying who gets what disease and what happens. If you are only able to put down male/female - those are the only data points you can conclude anything about. It might be that females who think they should be dudes actually have an astronomically high rate of X - but when they die of X, nobody is categorizing them as anything other than female. Given the tiny, tiny percentage of the population, we conclude that women have a 2% higher chance of dying from X than men. But females who feel they should be men represent nearly all of those, and actually have a 500% greater risk than the population as a whole.

You should say normal, as that's the word created for when something is in common in the majority, such as being cisgendered, thus being cisgendered is normal.

If stupid ***** keep it up with this gender fluidity and identification roulette **** I'm just going to start asking people for their chromosomes, because that at least can't be changed by opinion or surgery.

Sort of related;
But now there are people trying to change signs on the bathroom for women. They believe the stick figure having a ******* dress is insulting them, since not all women wear dresses.

they should just use ♂ and ♀
so they dont offend anyone (god forbid)

My biological sister wants to be a boy and it's extremely awkward. I want to be supportive and **** , but I just don't understand it. If you are a girl who wants to wear boy clothes and do boy things that's fine, but why do you have to try and turn yourself into something you're not by changing your name and getting hormone injections?
User avatar #107 to #68 - anahbell (05/04/2014) [-]
Well, it'll always be difficult for a cisgendered person to understand how transfolk feel. To be honest it's not about just 'wearing the clothes'.. it's like what if you decided that hey... I'm not comfortable in my body, I think I'll change. You do so.. and you're wearing dresses, makeup and the works.. but.. it's not enough. You'll be reminded that you're still a man every time you look down or look in the mirror. Just going halfway isn't enough. I personally am transgendered too, I'm FTM like your sister. I'm not saying being trans is a good thing.. it's not. It's the worst thing I've ever been through in my life and wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy.. but, we do what we have to just to feel okay and get by in the world. I wish transgender anything never even existed.. I can't say 'trans and proud' because why would I be proud of something that kills people? So, either way.. just, try to understand that it's also awkward for her too.

I hope this helps.

Also, go easy on her.. and if she decides to change her name and wants you to call her him and he.. please try your best, it will be the best support you can give. I know it's difficult and very very awkward but she (or he) will need your help.

Why is this so difficult for tumblr fgts

You were born male, you have a male's body, it's probable that you will contract diseases that males are more prone to. The same goes for females.

Western medicine has not exactly recognized trisexual-fox-unicorn-transgender-asexuals and the diseases they might be more prone to. Sorry tumblr

Biosex males and females have their health concerns, yes, but not everyone is biologically male or female, regardless of identity. There's still intersex, and they have completely different medical needs than biologically male or female people. So on a medical document, making intersex an option would probably be beneficial.

Let them just do it. If we're lucky, they'll die due to it, and their DNA won't spread.
