The idea of swearing has always confused me... Why are some words bad/unacceptable to be said? Who gets to decide that **** ? All it is, is noise. Words can't affect you if you don't let them.

I never understood how americans disrespect their parents by swearing and acting a fool. I swore at my father once and he slapped me and didn't speak to me until I apologized. To this day I don't even think to swear to him and if I swear I apologize. in Europe one does not simply.....disrespect their parents

It is because for some time now in America it is socially considered child abuse to hit your kid for any reason. So the little bastards would grow up without real discipline and become selfish little punks. My parents, however, didn't give a **** about socially acceptable methods of scolding their kid and I actually admire them for that.

One time my older brother was being a whiny lil bitch cause we were having garlic chicken. He said to my mom, "I don't want ******* GARLIC CHICKEN!!"

She frisbeed the plastic plate in her hand at him so hard that it shattered into a million pieces on the wall behind him, giving him a cut on the ear.

Remember when you swore in primary school even your friends would threaten to dob on you. They'd be all like 'oooooo im telliiiing'

What grade were you guys in when swearing to eachother became acceptable and no one would care (except teachers of course) ?

For me it was Year 6, for some reason I feel that's a bit late.
