used to live in a neighborhood where they'd tow your car if you parked against the curb, perfectly reasonable. The issue is that one day my neighbor's son came to pick his kids up and had the blinkers and everyone on, was in the house for a maximum of 5 minutes, gets outside and his car is halfway up on the tow truck and had to pay the ****** $50 just to get it down

I've gotta call bull on this one. If he parked and was literally inside for a total of five minutes than that meant a tow truck was literally right around the corner waiting for him and the instant he parked they drove up started hooking it up.

I parked in front of a shop near an atm around the corner in town at 4am in the morning. Was parked there for less than 3min. Came back and car was gone. That means some ****** was waiting or lurking around at 4am in town waiting to tow people and is able to do that **** in less than 2min. Plus the towing company was 15km(7-8miles) away. Had to pay $320. Had to pay some extra ******* night time towing fee ********.

Well, it depends... In my country, in the big crowded cities at least, parking spaces are rare. You have no choice but to park in an illegal area, although most people park them somewhere where it doesn't get in the way of traffic, these corrupt assholes tow truckers still tow the cars and make a huuuuge profit out of it. Meanwhile, there are dickheads who park their cars in the middle of the street and get away with it just because they have power or can bribe. I'm not saying there shouldn't be any tow truckers, I'm saying that if you want me to respect your rules, make it so that I can.

Also, there was this one time, a couple of years ago, when a 80 year old lady was towed while in her car just because her car stopped and was too scared to get out. She had a panic attack and was rushed to the hospital after that.

The ones who tow from in front of businesses make sense but the ones most people hate are usually scammers who look for tiny infractions normally within subdivisions where people live. Example being I parked my car on the curb right outside my home and the front wheel was about an inch onto the grass. Cost me $150 to get my car back plus missed day of work because of a single inch. Those types of stories are really common and its the main reason for the hate.

My aunt got a parking ticket for parking next to her driveway once. Her own ******* driveway! She was having construction work done and they filled her driveway with a skip. So she parked just outside it instead. It's not like she could have parked anywhere else and it wasn't even marked as an area where you could get tickets You know, double yellow lines or whatever. I can't remember, I don't drive .

Grr. I'm a Tow truck driver and it depends why the car was being towed. If it was for parking illegally or a no parking zone, If the customer comes out BEFORE we have our truck touching the car we have to release it no charge. If our truck is touching it than they have to pay a service charge which varys from department to department. If its like a parking lot that is protected by a certain company, if you come out with the keys to the vehicle in question in your hand than they have to drop the vehicle no arguing or charging per the ICC (Illinois Commerce Commission).

The real reason why we cant not tow a vehicle with ANY living thing in it is because its dangerous. if something breaks and the car comes off the truck than the person could be killed and we (the tow company) would be held responsible

If its a 2004 or newer, otherwise we're better off junking it because its guaranteed cash and most the time for the towns we tow for the cars arn't nothing special. Sometimes if its a good car we will get the COP (Certificate of Purchase which basically nulls and voids the tow fees in exchange for the title) and from there we can re title it in our company name and than sell it,

A reference to Breaking Bad, because a character in it believed that undercover cops can't lie about their being undercover cops. And then he was arrested by an undercover cop who lied about being an undercover cop.

But I have no idea why anyone would think #26 was a reference to Breaking Bad. You might as well say that any mention of drugs, rocks, minerals, lung cancer, or Malcom in the Middle is a reference to Breaking Bad as well.

I was in the mall, and i come out to someone backing up to my truck, i run and hop in it, and tell the guy to tell me what's going on. He says it's up for repo. I have a 1977 Chevy Blazer that my Grandfather bought off the showroom floor, so obviously i call ********. We sit there for 30 minutes, arguing about it, and he eventually he calls the cops.

Besides, that just doesn't work. If you want to act like a little bitch and get in your car while it's getting towed because you couldn't park like a good driver, they will get the cops involved. The towing company can't do anything about it, but the law can. So that is just a flawed idea. Unless it was made for comical purposes. Either way, it just doesn't work.

Once the tow truck company has your vehicle on their truck, it is technically their property (They have possession until you pay for it) and they have the right to have you removed from said property. The same thing goes for repo men.
