only if you don't let it know you're the alpha. dogs are pack animals and are always trying to see where the are in the hierarchy. humping is a power play. no one humps the alpha dog. a stress free dog is a happy dog, so make sure your dog knows it's on the bottom of the totem pole. you can do this with simple steps such as leaving the dooor before your dog and not allowing them to lead the way on walks, instead staying beside or behind you.
