I personally think it just comes down to personal moral and common sense.

We have reasons why pedophilia and zoophilia aren't accepted (aka as people say: the kid or animal is not developed enough to understand the ''horrible things'' you do to them) so i understand that the desire to 'protect the innocent' is there,
but pretty much the most common (and absolutely stupid) thing that is stopping homosexuals on is ''homosex is sin, thou shalt not lie with a man, you are going to hell, convert now and accept jesus''... Kinda makes me wonder, if abrahamic religions didn't exist, would there still be so much homophobia?

Right, there are arguments against pedophilia and zoophilia that I didn't bring up, it's just the argument presented by OP is that if governments allow homosexual couples to be within legal jurisdiction, the next thing, based on the logic of why governments are accepting homosexual couples, will be zoophiliacs and pedophiles.

I believe that "the slippery slope" is actually a logical idea; if you can use the exact same logic for both idea "A" and idea "B", why should one of those ideas be accepted and not the other? So, if you want to argue "A" is okay and "B" is not, you're gonna have to come up with a new logical path to come to that conclusion, which there are many logical paths to say homosexual couples should be legal other than "we both consent to it".

People a thousand years ago would be disgusted by the fact that you people listen to music and work on sundays. The world is going to change, and people will adapt to the change. How the world will be in a thousand years, none of us can truly know. A disease could pop up and eliminate anyone with Asian bloodlines for all we know. But if the animal is clearly mounting someone or is not visibly upset, then that's the closest to CONSENT an animal is capable of. Children are not truly capable of consenting to sex as they are not fully aware of the potential ramifications of their actions. Now, if we eliminate EVERY STD, that changes things. Doesn't mean you'd be allowed to sodomize an infant, but I imagine there would be less of an issue if a 15 year old wanted to bang an 18 year old.
