I'd tell you that it's still embarrasing

You know...shit like this should be common sense. Common sense should be fucking common...IT'S IN THE FUCKING NAME!!!
But, there's legions of unenlightened, redundant motherfuckers who feel like it's their way or the proverbial highway. Generations of idiots that refuse to listen to a word of what somebody else says. People with no manners too.

I mean, really tons of lumbering ham-planets that never incorporate such all-important character building phrases like "Thank you", "Please", or "I'm sorry" into their diminished vocabulary. Manners, where the fuck did those go? Like, are people still teaching morals and values and manners and shit in this post-modern ironic meta world?

You obviously don't understand the difference between a hypothesis and a theory, Gravity is a theory too, does that mean it doesn't exist?

That is true. However, when two people get into an argument, they both have the intention to change the other person's mind. Once this argument has been going on long enough, it essentially becomes a competition as to who can hold out the longest without admitting they're wrong. So the longer an argument goes on for, the less likely it is that either person will change their opinion.

i changed my opinion on weed after i found out that a handful of my family members and a couple buddies that i've hung out with for years were smokers.. they didn't talk to me about it because they knew i was against it.. seems gay and cliche but i also watched The Union on Netflix (not sure how accurate it is but...) i changed my mind completely and 100% accept it

I missed out the word "weed" for some reason, and then afterwards everything went to "pot".

Well that's a totally different issue. I've yet to try weed but I've done my research on the subject and it's pretty clear that it should be legalised.

Probably get thumbed down for saying this, but we need more of this on funnyjunk. when vere there is some one who has a opinion that contradicts the popular one he is instantly slammed with a fedora stereo type and the highest thumbed response is "2edgy4me". those kind of cop outs need to stop.

This is why I try not to accuse someone of being dumb for not knowing certain information.

Honestly, I hate the feeling of being wrong. But I'd rather accept that I'm wrong and find a way to be right than stick to being wrong and lying to myself. Because I hate lying even more.

Trying to argue with one of my class mates and I start to realise he is right.
"That was a good point, I guess you're right"

This is why I have a hard time changing my opinion, I still do, but it's hard because people goes full retard mode once their right.

Arguing is about finding a solution to a problem and not to get to slam someone in a verbal situation.

It happened to me once in a while. I was against the protestation for student fees but then looked at it and became for it.
It is really a weird feeling but it helps you grow as a person because now you see both side of the medal and understand both sides of the debates.
