Apparently an award was more important then his fanbase and he must of thought he wasn't good enough to keep making videos. I personally don't understand why not winning an award would make you stop making videos.

penileburglar (05/09/2015) [-] Honestly, even though it looks like an RPG, MGQ is basically just a visual novel (it's a lot like CoC, just a lot more linear and combat is much simpler in MGQ)
If themes of 'everything is trying to rape you' are your thing, MGQ has that, fully illustrated (albeit censored) and a halfway-decent storyline to go with it! Fair warning, though, unlike CoC, MGQ does have a few loli scenes (picture related, probably my favorite bad-end.) Also some vore scenes, but you can toggle those on or off.
TiTS, which is basically the successor to CoC, is coming along quite nicely as well. As is Fall of Eden, a similar game made by a friend / fan of the dude who made CoC.

I liked a good part of FoE, but it's missing a lot of content that isn't custom-written, and the progression feels weird.
And if you believe the /d/ threads about TiTS, it's plagued by Fenoxo's obsession with futa and furries (to the point where most of the characters are both), which is a shame because it looks interesting and deep.

Admittedly, there are a LOT of ******* futas in TiTS, but honestly, there are several people working on it and like a dozen people writing content for it, so pinning the blame solely on Fenoxo is a bit rough. Especially since he does listen to his fans a lot--the furry hermaphrodite-enabled characters (Urta, Marble, etc.) were ALWAYS the fan favorites that people begged for new content with.
I do feel like CoC had a lot more character variety, though, I will give /d/ that. Humans, furries, scalies imps, elves, witches, demons, dudes, chicks, hermaphrodites, driders, tentacle monsters, straight characters, gay characters, bisexual characters, picky characters, sluts, unwilling characters.
There's still a lot of development left to do for TiTS though, so I'll wait to pass judgement until we're approaching a finished game. Only thing I wish is that Fenoxo would have taken the time to make a proper engine for the game to make it easier for other people to write scenes, dungeons, etc.--I'm not an expert on his job by any means, but I feel like he shot himself in the foot by STILL choosing to code everything 'by hand' on a project that BIG. Imagine how quickly TiTS could grow to massive proportions if he made an engine that would allow a casual writer to create entire planets on their own.

I got halfway through MGQ and had to quit because the gameplay pissed me off so much. It seemed like every time there was a "tough" battle, it ended up being a gimmick of some kind. The main character would get saved somehow, or some ******** special power would kick in, or the opponent would give up. It was really, really frustrating, and every time it happened I would ragequit and stop playing for a week or so.
About the fourth or fifth time that happened, I quit permanently.
The art was great, though. 10/10 would be aroused again. Just not worth the annoying, boring gameplay. Even for the story.

It's a shame they didn't use the combat as more than just a gag to tie the rape scenes together, it got *really* repetitive. I'm not sure why they went through the trouble of making all the abilities and powers if all the tough fights were just going to be solved by gimmicks instead. It felt like they could have just made it an interactive graphic novel and it wouldn't have detracted from anything.
Still, erotic games are getting much more popular in the Western scene now. Maybe it won't be long before we have one that has decent combat AND decent smut? A man can dream, eh?

They're busy with a second trilogy called MGQ Paradox (Part 1 released in March, it's ******* good but the huge storyline cliffhanger at the end frustrates me to no end) that follows on the original 3 games (I can't explain how exactly it follows on them since that would be spoilers). And its plot is actually really interesting and deep.
