I really don't think that she has that great humor in her comics, her 'life in hell' thing kinda became more of a webseries, but each installment is so short that it fails at that. They're a bit funny, and the art style isn't bad, but I think it's extremely overhyped. The last comic I saw by her also reused the same frame only with different text (although that isn't uncommon it's a mark of a lower tier artist)

Like... It's so different. That's like me making breakfast and going "Well I'm no God (Or jesus, allah, whatever), but my stuff is still good." Like I really just mean that there was no reason to compare yourself to her because by comparison your art is just scrap. I mean you said it yourself that it's a quick and easy art style, just... I don't know, didn't seem related at all. Your art (the stuff you actively produce, porn and otherwise) ain't trash, but it's nothing really special, it just gets the point across and isn't an eye sore. I'd say you should go for some higher quality work just to show what you can do.

But it also gets annoying that she has a pretty strong ego (from what I have read) and assumes that the people insulting her are lesser in a way that she doesn't have to pay attention. Of course there's going to be some backlash, if she ends up blocking people as a result, or making comments such as "I should call all my content "The Salt Flats" because that's what the comments section always turns into." on her status that's fine. She doesn't owe us anything, her content's free. If you don't like her as a person or a content creator just skip the content.
I dislike egoraptor, I don't find him humorous in the slightest and I couldn't care less if he died. I don't go around making it my mission that he knows how insignificant I view him.
But then again, some people like to do that, and I don't hold it against them either. Silencing opinions I don't agree with makes me no better than a fascist.

I didn't thumb it up or down. It was just there for me. I found it amusing enough to blow air out of my nose when I read the title "Umbrellas are 50 dollars each", which would be about the same I'd get from "In hell it rains period blood, and umbrellas cost 50 dollars.
But that's just the creative bane. Not everyone one does will be funny, and some things just go under the radar for people. Doesn't mean you shouldn't try, and that small gust of air from my nose was more than what I got from the 12 reposts leading up to it, and the 22 after it.

Now, not that there are a lot of her comics I would call laugh out loud hilarious, but soule does have a grasp on humor, and it might not be the type of humor you like, but it fits well with her artstyle, like with a lot of oc comic makers. Their type of humor ain't the funniest, but it works with their style, and it ain't the worst anyone's ever seen.

Seems like nearly every OC artist on FJ gets madly popular for a while, and then public opinion turns on them just as rapidly. There's a reason why peanutbitter and geckoswithcheerios left while they were at the height of their popularity, if they had stuck around much longer they would've been hated just as much as they were once loved.
The best I can figure is this: when a new OC artist springs up, there's a small portion of users who just genuinely like their stuff. Then there's another small portion that dislikes it. Finally, the vast majority of users don't have a strong opinion one way or the other, but they're glad to see something new. So OC makes the frontpage, people who dislike it see how popular it is, keep quiet, and most everyone's happy.
Fast forward a few months, and said artist's OC has been making frontpage pretty regularly. There's still a small portion of people who genuinely like it, but for the larger majority of users who were only thumbing it because it's new, the novelty has worn off. At this point, people who dislike the artist will start making disparaging posts about either their work, the artist, or both, and those will make frontpage too because that "silent majority" is bored of the artist's work, so they're more willing to side with the "dislike" crowd.
Finally, we get to the point where disparaging comments on the artist's OC itself will be the top comments. Generally after that they either leave FJ altogether, become a lurker, or just post much more infrequently.
I've only seen a few OC makers dodge this trend, and I think it's because they post much more infrequently (itsthetie, hankhillofthe, and edowaado, I'm looking at you).
I just wish we could let people post and the thumbs decide, but it seems like every time it rapidly devolves into a insult-ridden attack on the artist themselves. I completely understand if people don't like the content, and constructive criticism is fine. But to me it just seems childish to attack something that a) the artist enjoys making and b) some people enjoy just because "I don't like it, so either they leave FJ or I vent my displeasure on every post they make!"

That's why I specifically chose not to do these community projects I do too often. Do them too often, and the gimmick expires, but do them sparingly, and it feels fresh. It's like a gift.

There are a couple of comic creators here who I don't like, so I would appreciate the ability to hide their posts from showing up. Maybe this option could prevent people from giving those disparaging comments on content they don't like because they won't have to see it.
