I made a Comp. Thanx Tumblr

If I was a famous author I would
publish a book with ten different
endings which all went to print with
varying degrees of rarity, but not tell
the fans about it so that I could watch
their confusion as they disagree over
how the story ended. Then when they
figured it out I would ‘come clean',
telling them that I had released eleven
alternate endings and watch them
panic again as they all try to find the
last ending.

When I was younger, I wanted to write a pair of books that followed the same story but from different points of view - one from the rebels and one from the imperials. Both sides would have made mistakes, but their own book would list only the faults of their opponent (ie no mention of WHY the imperials hate the rebels in the rebel book, only that they DID).
That way, people would have an opinion about the characters they read in the second book that was based on information from the book they read first, and they could compare their portrayals of the characters to the portrayals of others who'd read the books in the opposite order.

Something like an exercise in learning to see things from someone else's point of view, also it'd be neat.

I am an aspiring author and the thrill of writing really brings out the best in you. I would suggest trying your hand at it. You never know what masterpiece you will create. It is fun!

As an aspiring author myself, do it. My biggest regret is not starting to write sooner. It's one of the best things to do in your free time, even if it's just sitting waiting for something like class to start.

If you have an iphone, check out werdsmith, it's a writers app that lets you jot down ideas or even write in, however I highly suggest you do your writing wither by hand or on a laptop, it's so much faster. And if using electronics, always make backups. Have backups of your back ups, cause there's nothing more disheartening than losing 10 hours of work

Here's the deal. I'm already working on a D&D campaign for my friends, and I've got ideas for a card game and a roleplaying game system that I'm already fiddling around with here and there.
Not to mention the fact that my skill set is more artistically inclined than linguistically inclined.
Getting any kind of novel or story ready for people to read would take me forever.
I might, however, be able to do the story in installments, in a webcomic-type form, possibly here on FJ as some new OC.
Would that be satisfactory, or do you think it wouldn't do the idea justice?
