It is a sports game.
Should I call it an FPS?
Sports games aren't good, no. But they can be, and fifa is.

It might be a good sports game, but it's really not a good game, it's no different on the PS4 than PS3, and, if we're being honest, it's no different from Fifa13, or Fifa12 for that matter.

It is a fairly accurate football simulator, where both skill and understanding of the game gives huge advantages. The changes are subtle, but big enough to make a difference if you're used to playing football games.

Though if you don't like football, it will never be your cup of tea I guess.

I'll agree that there are changes, but they don't warrant a whole new game every year. Maybe a patch, or a new game every five years with all of the changes they've made over that time.

Some years the changes are big enough to justify the costs of new games. The way to dribble is quite different in FIFA 14, much more like a simulator (less like an arcade game).

Eh. I mean, that's not that big of a change. It just seems like if you're going to release a new game and charge full price for it, it needs to be a great deal different from its predecessors.

welll, every year new players are added to the game and the old ones are gone, thats an important change in football games IMO, i mean im not gonna play with the same players year after year, i like to try new players aswell, just my opinion, dont hurt me.

To be honest I agree with you, but I still buy it every year because I'm a filthy piece of **** consumer.

It changes the way most people play the game. There is other changes as well, though more subtle. Some changes, if not all, could be altered with patches but the sport game community is willing to pay for new games. (We're sheeple, but we're okey with that)

But I see your point, I wouldn't buy NBA or Madden each year (mostly because I don't understand the game well enough to notice differences).

No it isn't.

Neither is COD, I still like that though...
A lot of games never change but they're still good...

I'm not excusing CoD, that's just as lazy as Fifa is. They might be good, that's not the point. The point is that there's no reason to buy a new $60 game that's no better or different from every other game preceding it in its own series.

And my point is, you don't have to buy it if you don't want.
It's still a great game, you can't judge how others spend their money...

Sure, it's not bad, it's just a carbon copy of its precedents. Imagine if a director made the exact same movie every year, and just made minor improvements. Technically, it's still a good movie, but I'm not gonna go see it every year. It's not worth my money.

How are you going to compare the two?

Your opinion being?

Like I said, no one is putting a gun to YOUR head and telling YOU to buy it.
So don't, let other people do with their money as they please and you can do with it as you please.

Then stop bitching about it.

If it doesn't affect you then what other point is there to bitching about it?

Only one I can think is that you don't like it so other people shouldn't like it...

It's a part of the gaming market of which I'm an avid member. I'm sorry I hurt your feelings about this game, but I play video games, so I talk about video games be they good or bad.

Well then if a game doesn't change then don't buy it, don't support their product because there are still A LOT of great game creators.

So... no.
