It's probably made of the same stuff TR-8R's riot weapon was made of.

god knows whats ****** canon anymore
who gives a ****
disneys a piece of **** for going "The story we made is the one we are using, those years and years of developed lore are nothing now."

Attempting to cater to every last bit of ridiculous, long-winded, outdated canon has ruined many great stories.

Especially when major pieces of that canon were established decades ago by movies that were focused on being successful films more than setting up sustainable long-term lore, and much of the rest of that lore was written after the fact to explain the movies instead of being considered during production.

Star Wars' canon has been a mess since long before Disney got their hands on it. And that's not a surprise, when you're trying to tie together DECADES of movies and other media into a cohesive story. I'm not saying that Disney succeeded in making a great movie, but ' **** it, let's just focus on making the movie' was an appropriate response to the sprawling, tangled wreck of lore surrounding the series.

Not to mention the really stupid parts of EU, like having Palpatine resurrected 3 times...

Well the alternative was to have an impenetrable mass of canon to work through and be consistent with, as well as the restrictions those impose. If they didn't do it like this you'd have fans whining about how the movie contradicts other stuff.

One of them must be. The riot baton survived the lightsaber's hit.

Oh, most definitely. But it would not have just stopped dead like it you stuck a stick in the spokes.
User avatar #8 to #7 - Lilstow (01/09/2016) [-]
you'd stop dead once you sliced all the spokes out of your tire, causing the frame to grind on the ground.
User avatar #9 to #8 - newtamalego (01/09/2016) [-]
By stop dead he meant immediately

even in your explanation where the frame grinded on the ground it's not immediately

but yes we all agree you would definitely fall

see, given that i have a physics background, I knew that, but I decided to omit that because my autism is only enough such that it's my minor, not my major, so i decided it was funnier my way.
