The Ace Attorney games supposedly take place in America, but since it's a Japanese-made game, the Japanese influences on it make it hard to believe.

So in the original ace attorney games the location was ambiguously referred to as the city, so the localization team in america set the game in Los Angeles for the players. However, in the newer games, the original japanese games have gotten much more visibly japanese and the setting clearly wasn't an American city leaving the localization team in a pickle, either back out and admit the game is in Japan, or just strong arm us into believing Phoenix wright is in Los Angeles.

I remember watching Pokemon as a kid and when Brock talks about the doughnuts I remember specifically thinking "I don't know what that is but it sure as hell is not a doughnut."

I also remember them looking at a poster written in all Japanese and thinking "Why the **** can they read that? Why is it all in Japanese?" I mean, if you're going to dub in english, change foods to baguettes or what ever the **** they did and call some kind of riceball a ******* doughnut, you can re-draw a ******* poster.

******* 4kids, being all **** .

I used to just think that that's what donuts looked like in Japan. I loved snowballs as a kid, so I assumed the rice was coconut.

Wait, you WANT 4Kids to make edits? What circle of hell did you crawl out of?

I think his point is that if they're going to make changes, they should just go all the way, because kids get confused. That would have been my point if I wrote that at least.
