Damn shame Phasma was thrown into a trash compacter of an exploding planet. Could have done so much more with him.
Her?

Let me get this straight: Only the original Rebellion can be old (Leia), and the leading lady (Rey) is some pale ghost white chick with not so much as a tan for spending her childhood on a desert planet (Jakku, Tat2ine)? Also, Ebony is a complimentary skin color for a boy in Storm Trooper White, but for a girl of the same shade (Lupita Nyong'o), she can't even appear human (Maz Kanata)? Back to Rey, she can scavenge, potentially lifting heavy metals, and struggle to collect fractions of rations to survive (sure, it turns into Superbread when water is added, but it's been noted that these are only quarter or even eighth the ideal serving size, meaning low caloric count and incomplete nutritional value) , but, again, she has no tan line from the sun, no skin chalkiness from dehydration, no cuts or scratches on her anywhere (even if she wore gloves while shuffling about sharp metal bits, she was alone on Jakku for as long as she can remember, and no one's going to help a competitor for food, so she should have received some sort of scar from some early expedition), and she looks well-fed with no muscle tone. OT Princess Leia had a strong jawline for a woman and appeared aged for a fantasy trope reserved for younger ladies, but she was cast anyway 'cos she looked the part for her character. Rey? She looks like another 'girly-girl but with spunk' Disney Princess. Plain as that. Then there's a tough chick like Phasma (Gwendoline Christie is quite handsome, but not feminine pretty), and her face is never shown (at least she was on screen in armor, unlike Lupita). I know she explained that soldiers never remove their armor, but she had a very minimal role, as if she was there only to add her to the list of star names. She better have had escaped Starkiller Base and reveal her face next episode -- IF there's a next episode -- if Jar Jar Abrams haven't already ruined the franchise. The casting decisions are so sexist i can't believe how hypocritical a feminist like Carrie Fisher has to be to not say anything (and I KNOW she sees it, I'm a 3 Stooges-Level He-man Woman-hater and even I see it). This is sexist Hollywood Garbage atop of a shallow gimmickfest.

JAR JAR ABRAMS DONE ****** IT UP!!!!
Troolololol

The Prequels were better.

I do, however, have genuine displeasure toward Episode VII.

Hopefully she'll get more screen time in the sequels from what I've heard. SPOILER: Since we never actually saw her getting thrown into the garbage chute, I assume she managed to get out before the Death Star 3.0 blew up.

so that's the person behind the costume... it's... disappointing, I mean sure, it's fitting, but I've always thought she's fugly

true but they also used make up to make her look more manly in GOT. she's not the worst I've seen

Personally, I was kind of disappointed at how little we saw of her. I mean, she didn't do anything. She just kind of walked around in her chrome armour and said scary things. Then it's like Abrams just remembered she existed and had her jumped by a traitor stormtrooper and a geriatric. Waste of potential.

Actually its well done, since they had her be a normal character when she should have been one
