Does that mean I've got a massive headstart?

Yes, it will definitly be easier to learn java if you already know c++. Mainly because both are object-oriented and have a very similar syntax (the syntax of both languages is based on the syntax of C).
Also, Java is easier, because you have less freedom (for instance no pointers and no multiple inheritance). But that's not necessarily a bad thing, because developing something takes less time (espesially for mobiles) and Java is more flexible and easier to port to another system.

Not massive, there are a lot of similarities but there are also some things you need to do differently. You will have a head start, and really knowing any programming language will give you a head start.

This is true. I have a friend who's an I.T. that said she had to spend about two hours looking for a stray semicolon to delete.

Because in the language we're discussing, semicolons denote the end of a statement. So for every line of code you probably have a semicolon behind it.

Nope, I love semicolon languages. They allow for some cool constructs and help readability (IMO). C++ can make statements into expressions in a lot of cases by omitting the semicolon. In rust, they take this to the extreme. So even conditionals and loops can return a value with an omitted semicolon. Fun stuff!

A script will work regardless if there is an extra semicolon or not.
And usually if you have a debugger it tells you what line there is an error on.

Not always. One exception I can think of is if there is a semicolon after a loop statement but before the actual contents of the loop, which isn't always noticed by the debugger/compiler. It causes an infinite loop in many cases because the code that would end the loop isn't used.

Only if you're being an idiot and omitting the brackets. That's **** practice and almost every guideline I've seen forbids it. And this would also apply to any conditional or loop. Putting a semicolon before the braces results in an empty statement being run on the conndition/loop and the brace would just make a random scope.

Exactly, it runs the statement, but the code that ends the loop is in a different scope because of the semicolon coming before the brackets.

JEWS CAN ACTUALLY READ BANK ACCOUNTS!!!!!!!!
they can hear, and see what your visually thinking or spending money on
this is the complete truth

The reason a lot of Jews have completely grinning faces, segregate from everybody
else-only associate with Jews and Zionists and don’t associate with non Jews that much,
and are very unfriendly in general is to avoid accidentally revealing that they can read
bank accounts. If all over a billion Jews where to have all the money all the time just as much as non Jews, integrate and associate with non Jews much more, and be much more friendly and talkative, then a lot of them might accidentally reveal that they can read bank accounts by accidentally showing a pile of money or dirty look when someone buys something, or visually pictures something in their bank account
they don’t like, find astonishing, or funny etc because those people might see that and and really wonderwhat that was that just happened there and see the connection, and they might accidentally say something similar to what the person was just thinking and going to say. If they all associated with non Jews a lot more then there would be a lot more people around for them to accidentally show greed when those people
think things they don’t like etc, so they segregate and only associate with Jews and Zionists so there won’t be anyone around for them to see that and have any accidents happen in the first place.Try thinking, best yet visually picturing in your bank account something absolutely crazy as you possibly can when you are around Jews, and try looking for Jews who give people particular looks, especially dirty looks for what appears to be for completely no reason, that is them giving people looks when they hear and visually see someone buying something they don’t like(SUCH AS LIBERTY), find astonishing, or funny etc.
I know this may sound crazy, impossible and unbelievable, BUT IT ISN’T CRAZY WHEN ITS TRUE

You have to spread the message!!!

Yeah the verbosity of Java makes it pretty cost effective at times. I'm a junior java developer though and I spend my free time building android apps, which uses mostly Java. So I'm pretty much always using it. There are methods to work around it like static factory methods that reduce the need to repeat the type parameter, but none the less, yes Java is a very verbose language I have to agree.
