So I saw the most morbid **** while visiting Blooms retro candy shop in downtown.
Blooms is a candy shop having unique candies like giant gummy bears and a ton of taffy but they also have unique figurines and toys.

while walking around the shop these uncultured swine of children spoke about a Link candy case they saw. Which is made to look like a 8-bit link.

It was just one of the most cringy ass **** I've seen in a long time.
Thought I might share my experience with y'all so i'm not just sitting here dead on my account.

see i always looked at being edgy as having an opinion that is so opposite of the norm that it's considered extreme and attention seeking. I also think someone is trying to be edgy if they have no basis for why their opinion is so extreme.

For example:

If i say "I like Jurassic Park" and you say "I think it sucks, because i don't like animatronics and I think Jeff Goldbloom is a lazy actor". I wouldn't consider your opinion is edgy, it's just a difference in opinion. But if you say "Jurassic Park is the ********* movie on earth, and everyone who likes it is a lemon stealing whore." Then it sounds like you're disagreeing solely because you want to sound different and thats edgy.

Anyways, thats how i perceive edginess.

Fat shaming Friday from what I have seen was originally geared towards feminists and the SJW saying being 400 pounds over weight is healthy. They mostly took the piss out of those trying to demand that we see them as healthy and attractive when most of them stank, had hair all over them and were sweaty and disgusting. But over time it became more of a ha we hate all fat people. Which is pathetic.

FJ, from my perspective, seems to make fun of, and disagree with the following: sjw's, Tumblr, fat acceptance, "radical feminism", nignogs, ISIS, religious extremism, the recent Syrian refugee thing, etc. These things are also common talking points on /pol/. I know it's a hard concept to grasp, but some people will have different opinions than you. This doesn't mean they're evil racist /pol/ bigots or people from /pol/ trying to "corrupt" the site into a "mini /pol/ hivemind". They're people, just like you, who have a different way of looking at the world, either through experience or knowledge. A lot of people agreeing on something does not make it a bandwagon or hivemind or some nefarious /pol/ scheme to take over the site. Usually it means that way of thinking makes sense to a lot of people. That's all. Nothing to get upset over. FJ is a place devoted to upholding the concept of "Freedom of Speech". If you don't like people exercising their freedom, you can freely leave for another website where free speech is not a given right.

Nah, you see, freedom of speech means there's no legal consequence, so in this instance, it means you won't be banned for talking about anything here. A common misconception about freedom of speech is that you can say what you want with no consequences. If you're a dick with no sense of proper timing or consciousness of just how dickish you're coming across as, then people will still call you on it, thus the social consequences are still there. I've figured this out after being pissed off long enough about the same thing you're pissed about. Took a while, though.

And it's not really the fault of the parents, either. If they didnt play the games, they dont know enough to teach their kids about it.

I played a lot of games when i babysitted my brothers kids so they wouldnt jump around and smear **** eveywhere. I think i made the oldest one a minecraft fanboy because i played that alot when he was over. Also played a lot of ocarina of time and super mario but since he has a ps3 he never gets the chance of playing nintendo games so mutch. I have the best parenting tricks imo. when my kid Jack asks for a new console I say they can't get a new one until they beat *insert some hard game here*. it often gives me enough time to gather the money, plus they learn a lesson that you need to work hard to achieve something.

last time it was simon's quest. **** was glorious. but I'm a bit disappointed, it took almost a month for him to beat it, okay he is like 7, but still. plus he looked some stuff up from the internet.

Yes forcing old games on your children will be a great lesson. After all they must enjoy what you enjoy. Instead of having them do responsible tasks to have them learn they need to work to achieve things we put them up with outdated games from medieval times.

This can not possibly backfire, your child will be very responsible by knowing he has to play games real hardcore to achieve things in life and will have plenty of friends to talk with about his stone age games.

The store had a display where you could play old NES games.
Get to second level and out of no where I hear a "wow, you suck"
Look over to see this bowl-cut, skinny kid standing there eyeing me from a far.
Laugh it off like "haha, yeah, I aint that good."
As time goes on he starts moving closer, every foot he adds another "wow, you're terrible." but this time adds little tid bits about what I should have done.
"There was a clock in there. Wow, I can't believe you missed it."
"Yeah, okay." I say "At least there's a chicken in the wall here."
Kid let's out the most painful forced laugh ever.
"It's a porkchop you freaking idiot!"
"Kid, you can **** off anytime, you know?"
"You shouldn't curse to kids."
"You shouldn't be a little brat."
His backseat driving continues for the next 5 minutes.
Get 4th stage and decide to leave.
As soon as I put the controller down he comes up and snatches it.
"Let me show you how a gamer plays"
Already walking away.
"H-hey! Dude, come watch me play! Where're you going? Come back!"
"Nah, I'm sure you're a pro."
As I leave I leave out the door I see him put the controller down and hang his head as he walks off.

I hate kids.
