Dude you read mine mind, after I read this ******** post I thought "I'm posting on how dumb it sounds that having advanced weaponry translates into the ability to find lost planes", but you beat me to it. Well done sir.

Or they could combine their powers to make Captain Planet and save all those people, or plot against one another. Whichever one seems better.

He might have some statistics to back that up actually. Obvious Brit inferiority complex aside, the English soldiers are very well trained, and he could argue that they are better trained than American soldiers. (Although that would be somewhat unfair since we have a much larger volunteer force and as such are more likely to pick up douches).

Canada might have a claim on lethal special forces, something about most kills they have, although I think the English train them.

Obviously as an American I'm rooting for the Red, White, and Blue but one shouldn't let Patriotism blind oneself.

The SAS have been around the longest, so their training is honed with over 70 years of experience. (Delta Force and SEAL Team 6 have been around about 30 years)
Then again, Delta is nothing to sniff at. They get, like you said, trained by the SAS at Hereford.

Holy ****, they cross-train. SAS comes to the US as well, but we don't mention that because the rest of our military is actually decent and we're not trying to make up for it.

Every one cross-trains. The US with UK, Germany with the UK, Germany with The US. All major military forces in NATO train with each other. But more countries seem to go to the UK, either because of their training regime or because of their experience.

That's entirely false. I'm infantry and have been in for two years and I have yet to hear of a unit going over to train with the British. What I did see was dozens of different nations training at Fort Benning and on top my brigade is training South American nations as we speak. I've seen British, Canadians, South Americans, Germans, etc all being trained by standard soldiers in the US in special schools. I have yet to hear of an American soldier flying oversees to go through a British snipers school, a British recon school, a Bri...you get the point. Get off of your high horse. The SAS would do next to nothing in a conventional war with another nation.

I'm US. I agree, the UK army is absolute **** compared with our army. Their Air Force, their Navy, same exact story. And I'm probably wrong, I'm not infantry at either Hereford or Fort Benning. All I know is that the UK have been around the longest and have been the basis for all modern special forces. Then again, I'm just some pasty white guy in front of a computer. I meant no offence to our forces.
Also, thank you for your service, Clannadqs.

True about Seal Team 6 individually, but the Navy Seals themselves have been around since the early 1960's (I want to say 62 but I can't remember for sure). Granted that still 20 years after the SAS, just a side note to be made.

Delta force was founded by a man trained by the SAS.

The very first iteration of the Navy Seals received their training from SAS consorts.

With regards to your Comment further up, The SAS is not designed for head-on warfare. It's THE original spec-ops force, they are recon/disruption/elimination teams, and the ultimate Gorilla warfare unit.

When countries want special-ops training, they get the SAS, and ALL NATO special forces cross-train, regularly, the SAS and SBS being two of, if not THE most respected units in attendance.

The UK has arguably the best standard-infantry training in the world, the SAS is undeniably the greatest counter terrorism unit on earth, and quite possibly the most complete special forces unit there is.

they were the very first special forces unit in modern warfare, and they will always be the one that others look up to.

But people don't hijack massive passenger jets to add it to their private hangars...we probably would've heard some demands or threats from whoever hijacked it and successfully landed it by now, don't you think?
Or as we all know, sometimes planes are used as missiles to target buildings...I think we would've seen something happen by now

We could sink north korea. The resulting waves will probably wash it to shore.
