When you ask yourself what jesus would do, remember that flipping tables and flogging people is on the cards.

well how would you feel when your roommate uses your apartment as a smuggling ring and cheats his customers?
And the first time you told him to stop, he obeyed but then, 3 years later, he does it again. Wouldn't you unbuckle your belt and whip the **** out of everyone in your apartment out.

Jesus was actually alive while inside the crypt.
[Mattherw 12:39 and 12:40]
"He (author's remark - Jesus) answered, 'A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a sign! But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.
For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.'"

Jonah was presumed dead after being drowned, but actually lived and prayed to God for three days inside the belly of a whale before being spat out onto the beach. Therefore, just like Jonah, he wasn't dead inside the crypt, or else this sign would never have been acomplished.

He was alive in the tomb, after he died on the cross

He died. Dead for three days. Resurrection. To fulfill prophecy.

well the bible is open interpretation. both theories make sense.

Not really. To fulfill the prophecy Jesus must be dead and resurrected on the third day. Any other way wouldn't honor the prophecy

I think it literally means that Jesus would spend 3 days in the tomb as Jonah was 3 days in the belly of the whale. I don't think it talks about anything about being alive or dead.

what would mohammed do?

he would be really kind and gentle because thats how he rolled

To be fair, so are the spiritual leaders from all major religions. It's the hypocrites who kill and rape in their name that are the problem. They just ignore the stories from their own scriptures that tell them to be nice and caring to their fellow man regardless of their beliefs.
