I'm just getting interested in guitar maintenance and manufacture, and considering starting to do small projects at home, but don't really have a clue on what I'm doing. anyone have any good websites/advice to share?? it would be very appreciated.

For supplies use Stewart Macdonald (stewmac website). They have tons of stuff for guitar building. Also there are plenty of youtube vids of people making their guitars. I would recommend starting with an electric as they are easier in most respects. If you have any questions i am glad to help!

I've learned alot of the process from my dad who's been one for as long as I can remember. He makes some incredible stuff. I've mostly used what I've learned for costume prop-making.

Being a Luthier sounds fun, but I don't have the control for the really thin cuts for the body. I'll stick with lopsided garages.
