As a man who has never watched futurama aside from a random episode or two which I happened to stumble upon on TV, I have no idea what this post is about.

Fry, the main character, is a man who was accidentally frozen and reopened in the future. his brother had a son and named him in honor of the main character. that son later went on to be the first man on mars.

it's important to note that in this episode it was revealed that fry had always dreamed of going to mars and it was his dream to be the first man on it.
upon discovering the statue he thought that his brother, who always stole the show from him, had stolen his dream and landed on mars and to spite him even further used his name as recognition

It's also important to note that the most sad part, I believe, is that Fry spent so much time hating Yancy (his brother) until he realized that Yancy loved him and never got to see him again.

it's a very good show with lots of well done humor and a great plot. no joke, it may seem like some sort of simpsons ripoff, but actually the majority of the humor is original - it's by the same people who did the simpsons, so that's actually pretty humorous

Unless you're in a country that favors asian cartooning, then you're sadly a weeaboo. shows are shows, regardless of the art style. also, anime isn't just asian cartooning.

don't get me wrong, I love the asian cartooning style and most of my favorite shows are classified as anime, but if here a show is designed is the decisive factor in whether or not you give it your time, you're a rather immature snob, no better than hipsters and the kind.

you know what? you're right. In fact, that's the smartest thing you have said.
You're not a respresentative of the 'anime watching people'.
But you know what? Whenever someone talks about something in a good or bad way, the people listening to that person speak will always internally slightly change their opinion on the social group that person belongs

and if you don't want to read all of this:
Please Stop talking. You're making us seem like narrow-minded cunts.

What I really did love about futurama is that they are quite funny, but then they have all these sad episodes, Seymour, Leela's parents, Fry's past, and Lars.
