I am still pissed that EA cancelled the sequel.

Everything about that game was ******* awesome if you're a metal fan. So many appearances and references.

Personally, i think old music is way overrated. Now, before you start thinking i'm some 13 year-old swagfag/emo/whatever , i have to say that most of new music is overrated as well.

It's kinda ironic that i'm a musician who thinks that most music is garbage. It's just that i find it way too often boring.

i REALLY tried to like this game but... it's just too bad. the story WAS...ok? til the "oh my mom is the bad guy and my dad is the hero now lets never talk about it agin" **** happened. then the ******** with ophelia becoming evil and... just ****** ew. i had to switch to easy just to get past ****** lionfag. the different axes make NO ****** difference. the car controlled like **** . all in all, i think this game sucks.

Not even exaggerating, i've bought all the DLC, and beaten this game close to 100 times. Just last month after playing it so many times, i noticed the seagulls at the screaming walls...were mics with wings.

Best part about that game was Ozzy's character and some of the songs they got the licensing for. But seriously, the RTS elements were **** , the open world hack n' slash elements were **** , customization was limited as well as **** , the factions basically amounted to a glorified game of "rock paper scissors" on top of being **** (though I will admit the special abilities like Eddie summoning a zeppelin to crash on the field were pretty ******* badass). But I could forgive all of that, ALL OF IT, if it still felt like a Tim Schafer game but it just...didn't. It honestly feels like Tim Schafer had this great idea for a music based open world fantasy game and decided to have Jack Black voice the lead. But Jack basically took over and made it his own thing.

Uh.. No. One of the greatest black metal bands ever to be is still active to date. Anaal Nathrakh. VERY underrated band. They sing about philosophy, the human mind, and generally just give expressions to very deep feelings of hatred that we all have. Not all of us like to recognize it, but that's why I listen to a lot of the black metal I listen to. Because it's cathartic and it makes me feel powerful. Metal keeps me sane and healthy.

Or, if you're into the more soft and cool stuff, listen to ******* Ghost B.C. One of the greatest rock bands ever. Just listen to Monstrance Clock or Ritual and feel the ceremoniality.

OOOOOR if you're into the more depressive stuff..
What about Lifelover? They actually make legitimately deep lyrics, but they are one of the most underrated bands ever.
"These emotions, whether they are of hatred, or love seem to be the only meaning I can find in my life"
from their song "Myspys", which is their most popular song.

Realize that it's not present-day music that sucks, but you have a tiny perspective.

I loved this game but, what the hell's up with this attitude so many metalheads share.

> Metal is dead

My ass it is. It's not new anymore, so yeah it might feel like it's dead because the early hype is long gone, but the metalscene is very much alive and still growing every day with new subgenres (some awesome, some **** ) and bands.

Now I know people will bitch about metal going soft, but there are just as much raw, brutal bands as there are soft ones.

I can't remember the last time i genuinely enjoyed a game this much.

A shame about the RTS parts though.
