These required a great amount of dedication and skill.

HOWEVER
They are made by projecting a photograph onto a piece of paper and the "artist" in question will simply follow the image line by line.

Essentially making whoever did this a extremely inefficient copy machine/ printer.

this is stupid. It's like doing a cover of a song with everything exactly imitating the original. Stupid.

I kind of agree. You need more talent to make 3d objects into a 2d picture. Plus, you get something unique.

You need even more talent to construct the object by yourself and then shading it to make it look real.

Drawing off a photo only requires time and patience.

There is a kind gentleman in my local mall that does these. It's really fun to watch him work and he doesn't mind people looking over his shoulder.
