There was a hummingbird here the other day, so I hung up feeder and sat on the porch for an hour or two to watch for her. Finally I gave it up and went to go back inside. Halfway through opening the door I heard a loud buzzing sound directly behind me. Thinking I was about to get stung by a giant hell-wasp, I screamed (like a man) and whirled around just in time to watch the hummingbird zip away. She hasn't been back since.
