30 people is way more than you need to repopulate.

Hmmm, not sure if 30 people is enough genetic variation to allow for the continuation of the species. I do know that with 1000 breeding pairs it would be no problem, but 30 that's a hard one. Need to find more info.

I hope you understand that the consequences, would mean that there would be a human race of inbred faggots on a moon that will slowly become more and more alien like from the "original" human race.
Also, the low gravity will make the humans born degenerated, and we don't even know if reproduction can happen in low gravity yet. (no one has yet to nail someone in space or on the moon)
I could go on about why it isn't smart to have a colony based only out of 30 people, but genetic difference would be low after a few generations. And... This would make us more susceptible to decease or any other virus we might encounter. This along with that our body also carries different deceases and viruses, that would mutate and infect throughout generations. This would make up a pretty bad result on us.

But yeah, you could make a colony of only 30 people.
I wouldn't recommend it, but yeah...

I would like to add that solar radiation and other radiation hazards are the main dangers of a colony on the moon. Unless we fix that issue by some electromagnetic super fields that we can deploy around planets or areas we inhabit. Or that our space suits can project force-fields that will do the same.

It would be simply awesome if we could solve that issue i brought up above, well... Space Colonization Here We Come!
