It doesn't take my computer an hour to shut off.

No, because the human body can actually heal itself while sleeping, your computer just, sits there (as far as I know)

Not really, but close. Windows has a sleep mode, and this is basically the same as human sleep.
There's also hibernate, which could be compared to a coma.
And then there's restarting, which would be someone dying, and then being resuscitated.

I don't know where you get your information of the power modes of computers, but all of the were innaccurate. Well, except sleep mode.
