>uses Chrome
Chrome runs updaters in the background which are a bitch to disable (if they even can be disabled without uninstalling).
>not using Firefox for open source glory
>displays Skype username for the whole world to see
>doesn't disable iTunesHelper
>doesn't disable IAStorIcon
>uses RtWLan
Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't that mean you're using a ****** USB network adapter with no external antenna? Pic related; it's the network aderpter that I used to use (it required RtWLan).
>"Physical Memory: 23%"
Bitch please, those backend programs are barely making a dent in your RAM.

It doesn't matter.
What is RtWLan, though? I thought it had to do with Rome Total War, but it could be my stupid Xbox controller. I've tried and can't disable it through the task manager.
Why would I disable ItunesHelper when I'm listening to music?
I don't give a **** about Chrome's ****** background processing consumption: I like its interface better than Firefox's and that browser crashes every time I visit FJ.

I'm pretty sure RtWLan has something to do with connecting to networks/Internet. When I used an RNX-MiniN1 (picture from comment 5) to connect to the Internet, RtWLan was a necessary backend program for this purpose. Once I switched to a PCI network card from a different manufacturer, I didn't need the backend program anymore. (BTW: I don't have any of the Total War games installed, so it isn't at all related to them)

Itunes Helper isn't necessary for listening to music. It just checks for updates when iTunes isn't running. iTunes will check for updates whenever you open it, so iTunesHelper isn't necessary to run all the time.

If you like Chrome, go for it. The backends are lightweight enough to make no noticeable difference on a mid to high end gaming rig. The interface is a matter of personal preference.

Oh, yeah. I connect with a router but my computer's pci won't connect half the time and the router's pretty much on top of the computer, so I still connect with an ethernet cable, which is probably the reason for RtW.
**** Ituneshelper, man. I've ended that process before and it just shuts pops back up two minutes later. **** Itunes in general, but there hasn't been a more reliable media player that I've found.
Chrome may be a pain in the ass, but I'm not on a netbook and don't give much of a **** about its huge processing requirements. If I were on a ****** computer I'd use Firefox, but I'm not. ;P

RTwlan.... it's for realtek wireless devices. It appears if you need to install the drivers (IE win doesn't include them already) I have no idea what the process actually does

I can't remember the chipset family but its used in other vendors also, but RtWLan is renamed

RtWLan used by almost all recent realtek devices and it's pretty ******* presumptuous to assume its a mini USB adapter of all the products realtek make.

Although, nfi why you needed RtWLan with a Rosewill adapter, I guess they used the same chipset and got lazy with the drivers

here's what you need to do, go into your system manager find your monitor drivers and uninstall all of them, this should help your system run faster.

now that dashgamer is trying to fix this current problem i am free to set fire to the world. should i go with the traditional wooden match and be creative, or should i just make it rain fire by setting off seven or eight volcanoes?

What you need to do is set up a giant match roller coaster. Just set up lattices of wood with match rails, cover it in lighter fluid and watch the flame do loops! (I actually did this and it's fun)

Just buy a few boxes of matches, some glue, some lighter fluid, and spend all day making your roller coaster in a patch of dirt. It's awesome.

Ok, that box that is open is the Task Manager, from which you can close all programs without having to interact with the program itself (that way when they crash you aren't ******) and basically do what it's called: manage tasks. You can end the function of most of the processes in your computer, which means you can shut **** down and stop unnecessary stuff that's running unseen, eating up your sweet, sweet rams.

So my ****** joke is that I'm shutting down the task manager by ending the process (as opposed to clicking the damned X at the top right), which is redundant and unnecessary, and that I'm retarded.
