What kind of casual only mods for 6 hours and then adds more mods mid playthrough?
Mod it and test it in all kinds of scenarios for a few days, decide what mods you want and what mods you want but you know you aren't going to use this playthrough then only keep the ones you will use installed. Then do a mini playthrough to test if everythings working remove any mods that cause slowdown or you've decided you don't like and then you can start playing.
I have a super powerful pc, but i got mods that added tons of grass to the world, like ******* grass everywhere, i walked out and got like, 20 fps worth for grass graphics.
Ah yeah, that's what it is. Sorry: I confuse the two because they're basically the same thingAt least in their goals, not so much the method
I've always just called it tessellation because it's shorter/easier to say than parallax occlusion and I kind of forgot that they were too different things.
But yeah my bad, you were right, I was wrong.
So I subscribed to a lot of mods, then got bored while waiting for them to download, so I played other games on my steam library.
Fast forward a few months where I know I have mods installed, but forgot which ones. Watch as guard does normal banter: "I use to be an adventurer like you till I took an arrow to the knee"
*BOOM!* Bright flash and the guard is dead.
Start laughing hysterically as I totally forgot that I subscribed to a mod that makes lightning strike any guard that says that line. Made that stroll through whiterun a whole lot better.
You need to use a program called Wrye Bash - Skyrim, it lets your troubleshoot errors, bugs, and crashes caused by over modding. It also lets you assign more items to the loot table, something that you cant do without it, so that all the modded items can spawn into NPC inventories around the game, good modders will make their weapons restricted by faction so you dont have beggars spawning with longswords. Last time I played I was running 64 mods stably, most were immersion mods or added armor, clothing, weapons, unique guards, animation sets, ect around 500 sets of armor and clothing and 800 balanced weapons to make a more diverse game.
