They get beginners to spritz using a coloured letter in each word that is fixed in place, so their eyes stay still and the words just flow into their vision. It's awkward to read when it's too slow, but mad awesome. Ignore estranged.

jellyroller [OP](04/26/2015) [-] I can try. This technique of reading is called spritzing. Basically you are reading without having to move your eyes. This method allows people to read at vastly higher speeds, with more comprehension.

estranged (04/27/2015) [-] Actually, it's because of what is called 'persistence of vision'. There used to be a toy with a bunch of LED's in it (always red) and a small keyboard. You'd type a msg on the keyboard, and wave this thing around like an idiot, but the msg would come out clear, and readable. Something like this, but you had to move it yourself. This is the new version.
