******* hell, man. Why are you taking this seriously? No one cares about thumbs to begin with, so this guy makes **** up, gets to the front page, big deal. He may get his little attention whoring adrenaline rush, good for him. When he doesn't deliver, he'll get poked fun at, by admin, etc, , and everyone will go about their days. He knows what he's getting by doing this, and he's accepting it. A lot of people decry these ********* and thumbwhores as killing funnyjunk, but the reactions and discussions around these topics are often funny enough to warrant their forum being on the front page. Plus, who are these guys taking from? The oc comic makers? God knows they get upvoted to **** , and deservedly so. The reposters? They're up there.
I only recently started commenting, but I've lurked on this site for years. Every s single ******** , discussions come up about how this is killing fj. Fj has been in, according to its users, a crisis since its inception.

I had Adblock off for a long time.

I had to turn it back on because the ads on FJ gave me a virus a little while back.
Plus audio ads are annoying as **** .

As far as i could tell, they're google-esque.
They know all sites you visit, won't share it with anyone, etc. Honestly, they're smaller than Google, so the chance of them actually making use of the data at a future date is higher, and i trust them less than Google anyway. Probably a bad decision, but I'm in deep with Google to begin with.
