Well, yeah. I kinda believe these things, though in very specific way.
If you want to listen, I can tell you. It's not even some kind of magic, it's more of a scientific approach, if I may say so.
Faith can change our lives. Without faith in that we can succeed, we most likely won't.
Now, not everyone knows this, but nowadays there is kinda secret rule among fortunetellers and even those who know about it, usually misinterpret it: You do not tell people about bad fortune.
Why? You may say "it's bad for business" and you'll be right. But there is another reason. If you tell people that something bad will happen and they believe it, it will happen. They'll cause it one way or another. So fortune tellers usually try to suggest how to avoid bad fortune instead of telling you what will happen.
Luckily, the same applies to good fortune. Tell them something good will happen and if they believe it, they will make it happen. So, I think a good fortuneteller isn't exactly a bad person and it's a valid job, though hardly related to some sort of magic.
It's so-called self-fulfilling prophecy, one that wouldn't happen if it wasn't foretold. That's why I'm superstitious, though mostly about good omens.
