well that was one of the most depressing things i ever read.

seriously, why the **** are kids capable of such casual cruelty?

**** like this is on par with psychological torture

**** kids come from **** parents.
User avatar #49 to #23 - saxtasticnick (10/06/2015) [-]
The problem is that kids don't have a fully developed sense of morality yet, so they'll do a lot of things without thinking about what's right and wrong. They also don't exactly think about the consequences of their actions, hence why they get themselves hurt all the ******* time. Kids are sadistic little ***** and they're the reason I refuse to set foot in a middle school ever again.
#132 to #49 - tehavatar (10/06/2015) [-]
i feel like thats an excuse. me at 13 wouldnt have just not done something like this but would have known why is was wrong, and the affect it could have on the victim
User avatar #135 to #132 - saxtasticnick (10/06/2015) [-]
By no means am I excusing their actions, this is just an explanation for why on average kids can be dicks if not raised correctly. With proper parenting, this ****** behavior can often be avoided. Plus, not every kid is the same.
#251 to #135 - tehavatar (10/07/2015) [-]

i remember reading an article about video gamers and forums lurkers that we are generally better people because ingames we get to choose sides and take actions and on forums we see other's mistakes/ good deeds which makes us parapsychologically aware, in other terms Normal fags are bad because their brains can't comprehend that they're hurting other

In all honesty, things only seem so bad because we are finally growing up and becoming externally aware. Global society, on all levels, is still in a much better place than at any other point in history. Atrocities, bullying, mayhem; all still occur, but not at the frequency that they once did.

agreed, but **** man, i've been to china for 6months during an internship and that was before i started visiting liveleak. What I can say is that chinese dont give a flying **** .

Maybe its only in the overpopulated bigger cities, but I once saw an accident where someone got hurt. It wasnt too bad, but it wasnt a casual fall either. It was a woman on a scooter that got hit by a turning car. Now there were at least 25-30 people standing a round and looking at how she is struggeling to get the scooter off of her, because she was stuck under it. She didnt cry out for help as far as i could understand, because she was probably a bit under shock, but for ***** sake anyone with half a brain could ve seen that she needed it. So in the end it was me a ******* intern with a temporary visa who had to walk up to her and help her with the scooter.

Now this is the most extreme example that i ve witnessed but the list goes on.

You can stab plenty of people before anyone even knows what's going on, whereas with a gun as soon as you shoot people know, unless you have a good silencer or suppressor which nobody ever does
User avatar #214 to #207 - killerkost (10/06/2015) [-]
are you speaking from experience? or from playing too much splinter cell? Because I imagine that after being stabbed in a social environment like a school or a streed with pedastrians my first reaction would probably be crying out "AW **** , I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU'VE DONE THIS! YOU ***** STABBED ME!"

No but for real if someone gets stabbed he usually starts screaming and before you even mention a slit throat i want to ask you the following question: do you know how much blood a person with a slit throat spills? it literally shoots out of your throat and even tho its most likely gg no re for that person any person who didnt roll a ******* 1 on the perception roll should notice the unreal amounts of blood coming from that person.
User avatar #236 to #184 - paddypancake (10/06/2015) [-]
You don't hear about a school stabbing because guns make it easier. If there weren't any guns at all you would hear more about school stabbings. Not all school shootings would disappear if we disallowed guns, some would (probably most) and others would turn into school stabbings. But yeah casuality count and killing spree count would go down. And besides for the overwhelming part it is also a lot easier to run away from someone who tries to shoot you than from someone who tries to stab you. Especially for a group of people who might decide to not all run into the same direction.

Then people start making poison gas and bombs. Household materials are just as easy to get. I suppose they might accidentally die making it but taking away guns doesn't solve the problem. Mental healthcare is the real issue. Gun controls are just a dumb quick fix that don't work. Gun free zones especially just don't work.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_school_shootings_in_the_United_States

just look at how many school shootings there are in the usa... I see now btw that pertty often there are only 1 or 2 casualties, but still, the sheer amount is overwhelming.

Honestly you people think that as soon as guns get banned people start building bombs and **** in their basements just to kill each other. well **** i dont know, but maybe if this is the kind of people your country consists of then you all probably should have guns, mainly to kill yourselves before you can harm someone else.

But in other countries where guns are prohibited there are no "poison gas bombs" and **** like that for ***** sake. Its like you ignore the rest of the civilizied world where guns are prohibited and go on to create hypotheses like there are no REAL EXAMPLES existing out there.

But honestly my last word is keep your guns, I dont even live in the US so i guess I dont even have the privilage to gudge you. But every death caused by a gun is a direct cause of the gun policy in the united states imo. Also when te cops shoot people on sight i can totally get it, becuase they have to assume that everyone has a ******* shotgun up their rectum. So better safe than sorry I guess.

Well from my standpoint there's not much I can do to change it. The way things are going even if major changes were put into place we wouldn't see the full effect of those changes in our lives. So yeah it's the world we live in and most likely the one we'll die in as well.
User avatar #248 to #247 - talpss (10/06/2015) [-]
If you assume that you can't change anything, then you won't change it. That's just common sense. There are plenty of things you can do to ensure that something can change. In this scenario, don't give the news stations that do this **** money. Use adblock, don't watch them on cable TV, and don't give people links to their websites unless it's an archive. As a group, men can accomplish anything. If enough people do this, they will report the truth in order to save their bottom line.
User avatar #249 to #248 - wondersquid (10/06/2015) [-]
I already use an adblocker and I don't have cable tv or any friends that I would share articles with so I guess I am doing something. And yes you are right, as a group men CAN accomplish anything. But money helps more than you could imagine, and a lot of rich people are grouped together and most times they accomplish what they set out to do. The world has been molded by people looking to further their own desires and that has led to the current state of the world in which we live in.

This happened to me for my 10th birthday after moving to a new state. Not a bowling alley, but I was.... so excited to make friends.
It was a pact made by the popular girl in class. I went in the following Monday, to find my desk shoved into the corner facing away from everyone, who were all grouped together. Laughter all day. Girl then spread a rumor I was anorexic (she was fat, I was very small) and beat me up in the bathroom and tried to make me throw up so she could show everyone I had vomit on me.
One day, I hid in the closet during our free hour to do homework by myself. No one knew. Heard the entire class, including the teacher, talk **** about me being socially awkward, unlikely, and being a hooligan. Get mad at girl for saying something nasty to me. Tell her I'd rather kill myself then talk to her.
Older student, serving as a kind of monitor for us in the after school system hears this. Tells me off for saying something so disgusting to the other students in the house of the lord (school was part of a church). Now everyone even outside classroom hates me.
I was 10 and when I said I'd rather kill myself, it actually, for the first time ever, struck me that I wanted to die. Not in a figurative way. I was 10 and I tried to kill myself that year.

Had self-esteem issues after that. Had different triggers that made me spiral down again. Finally made friends, best friend died when I was 13. Moved again. Parents tell me I make them look like horrible parents and to act happy in public. Don't actually do anything to help. Social worker talked to me once. School called mom to tell her. Mom beats the **** out of me for "telling people she's a bad mother." When I finally got some confidence, fell in love, lost virginity, etc. Months later he tells me, "you were just someone to **** , if I told people you were just a **** buddy it would make me look bad." Then proceeded to tell me everything that was wrong with me. Girlfriends need to act happy, be thankful for being doted upon, be more sexually expressive and open (literally after only having sex 3 months, expecting new positions and stuff to do every time we did it). Then he told all our mutual friends I was crazy. No more friends at work.

The simplest things... no one going to a child's party. They cause ripple effects. I was abused at home before that, but I had such a good time with my friends and loved going to school and hiding alone in my room reading, it didn't dawn on me that I should be sad, because I had things that made me happy. Until that day. 24 now kind of with my **** together, still feel the depression hiding deep within, but keep myself busy so I don't get depressed.

Never had a gf before.
In 5th grade the girl i had a crush on hinted at liking me. When i asked her out she laughed and told everybody, i was the laughing stock within a week.
In 8th grade a game called oreo was going around, where two people would play rock-paper-scissors, the loser would have to ask the most revolting person in class out on a date. Just so happened that Morgan lost, she asked me out. I said yes, excited, when everyone started laughing.
My self esteem outside of the internet is so low, i can't even look people in the eyes. I blame those assholes.

people at my school play oreo all the time.
I'm the first person they go to, and even the one boy who I thought liked me a little bit ended up doing it... He didn't even pretend it was for the game.
He straight up said "Hey, can you please say no? It shouldn't be that hard, you're use to doing this!" It makes me sad, man. I try my best to be normal and fit in with everyone else, but people are such cunts...
