I hope this is directed at clannadqc, cause I'm really tired of seeing his judgmental douchey posts on the front page.

I don't see how his posts were douchey though. From what I saw he gave advice on how to not piss people off at the gym with simple tips that new comers don't follow like reracking weights not bothering other people that are around you.

you know i dont normally take the time to read the comments on FJ, mostly just scroll through the picture...but today I made a mistake and decided to collapse this comment and read.

You people are pathetic, on so many levels, to the point where I almost never want to return to this place, regardless of how funny the pictures.

I'm afraid of being associated with such a bitter group of immature, degenerate, assholes...

I think he secretly has autism but is too scared to admit it so makes fun of others for having it. As a way to try to mask his autism in real life he goes to the gym a couple days out of the month and thinks he's buff and ripped and knows everything about fitness so he makes those comps.

Just my take on it, probably true.

You put it in a spoiler in one of your recent comments, one that was on your gym post.

And, is it any wonder that people are disliking your compilation, once you take into consideration that you basically just said 'Everyone that comes to the gym to work out is an annoying piece of ****... Except me. I don't do anything remotely annoying, like all these other *****."

Due to my medication, I can't get my heart rate up. Therefore, I have to walk on the treadmill for like and hour or so. I'm not out of breath and I can feel everyone else judging me. Its a bit ****, but I've got to do exercise.

I agree and disagree with this. It kind of matters where you live/what time of year it is. It's winter and it's below 20 degrees constantly here, so I can understand going to the gym for that. Also, if you live in a bad neighborhood in the city or some ****, then it's understandable, too.

If it's constantly below 0, you should be used to it, really. I know some people can't be arsed to get accustomed, but below 20 is only bad if it's by the coast, and even then only on the more open areas. -20 at the coast is usually worse than -40 inland.

In the winter, a lot of the times I'll go to the gym to just walk for an hour+.

If you walk, jog, or run, too much on the treadmill, you're gonna seriously **** up your knees. If you spend an entire hour on them, regularly, it will probably happen sooner rather than later. I would recommend going for long walks instead. The scenery is nicer as well, imo.

As anon said. Human feet aren't built for completely flat surfaces either. This will destroy your knees as well. That particular negative effect applies for shopping malls as well, and too some degree asphalt. Here, of course, good shoes would counteract some of this.

Jogging or running outside would be A LOT better, if it's being done regularly. Running in the woods, or on dirt roads has only positive effects. Treadmills are still good of course, but be extremely careful. I was born with a bad knee (it doesn't affect me, normally), so if I run on a flat surface, or a treadmill for too long, I feel it rather quickly. 10~ min on concrete, 2~ min on a treadmill.

On a treadmill, the ground moves beneath your feet, when you step down there is drag force being applied to your step in the opposite direction...in effect it gently attempts to pull your knee out of its socket with each step...and it does millimeters at a time. Each time it happens, bodily fluid will rush to fill the void, and eventually u will develop calcified deposits which limit your knees full range of motion and potentially cause serious pain.

It's basically the same affect of running up and down hills.

Honestly, in cases like this, judge and correct them. But don't be a dickhead about it. I've had people at the gym correct me or ask why I did lifts a certain way and they were always happy to help. The same went both ways. You can actually meet some damn good people that way and make some gym-friends. It helps out in the long run and prevents plenty of injuries.

Alright, not trying to be offensive here, but I find it pretty stupid to respect overweight people for simply being in the gym. I have massive amounts of respect for those that went from being overweight to being in shape, but I will not show an ounce of respect for those that simply signed up for a gym membership after neglecting their body for years. That's like saying you have respect for someone who didn't study and did terrible in every grade, but their final year they have been studying for a few test and doing their homework.

I said that they have to prove they are going to stick with their program and burn off weight for me to be shaking my head in approval and saying ," Hey man, that's great.
