Due to my medication, I can't get my heart rate up. Therefore, I have to walk on the treadmill for like and hour or so. I'm not out of breath and I can feel everyone else judging me. Its a bit **** , but I've got to do exercise.

Honestly, if I see an overweight person in the gym I just want to shake their hand. Sometimes I hand out encouraging words when it looks like their having troubles. I know how hard it is, but people like that are what inspire me.

I judge the **** out of everyone at the gym. Will I tell you my opinion no, but I see it as a competition and thats what motivates me. Is to be better than all the other people there. You might get motivated another way but mine is judging others and comparing them to myself

I have more respect for the overweight dude running his ass off on the treadmill than I do for the land whales that don't do **** but complain on how society should just "lower its standards".

People at the gym don't care how fat you are or how you look. The gym is a place for improvement. They're all there for the same reason. It doesn't matter what you do at the gym. Just as long as you try your best and not half-ass your workouts, you'll be respected by everyone there.

I was nervous as **** the first time my brother took me to the gym with him. I thought everyone would laugh at me or stare at me. But they really don't. They mind their business, they do what they gotta do, then they leave. Judging, laughing, or **** talking at the gym is looked down upon. If some cocksucker starts making fun of you, everyone around there will stare that ****** down in disgust. Just try.

Of course his posts seem judgemental, thats what this site is right? A place where you ******* Judge things, I can guarantee I can look at the past comments of just about every user here and see them calling someone/something hurtful just out of spite, As a frequent gym goer these are real ******* problems, the dropped weights, the equipment that doesn't get put away, the new years rez people, the 15 year old skinny ***** who walk around for two hours screaming LIGHTWEIGHT! as they do half reps and take three selfies in between every set. His content got thumbs because people agreed, whether or not you like it isn't up to question, this site is democracy amongst its posters, if more people like it than dislike it, its going to get to front page and sitting here circlejerking yourselves for being such progressive and non-judgemental people isn't going to change that.
Red thumb me, flag me twelve thousand times, do whatever, i guess you can't beat the hivemind of FJ anyway but know that Judging in a competitive environment is natural, you see a big juiced up mother ****** and your opinion of him is immediately formed in your mind, you see some skeleton in the gym the week of new years, lifting wayyy too heavy and not listening to anyone's advice you're god damn right i'm going to judge him.

Due to metabolic problems, I am fat. I will always be fat. However, when I go to the gym to try and keep from becoming a bed ridden hulk, I get made fun of for my weight. I just wanted to say " **** YOU" to all those people who insult the fat guys at the gym. We wouldn't be there if we weren't trying to improve ourselves. I started walking outside year round to escape the jeers. I walked 2 miles today in a foot of snow before going to work, and when I got back I walked more, so don't you dare call me lazy you arrogant ******* assholes. I don't think being 300 pounds makes me sexy, or that it is healthy. I just don't want to be a wheel chair ridden ham planet.

I judge everyone, especially people being retarded in the gym. Although I keep to myself and do my own stuff.

FINALLY! I've been seeing these posts lately about judging people in the gym. I mean, c'mon, people are there for all different reasons. I'm a bit on the heavy side (mostly because I'm short, but either way it's still heavy) and my gf wants to go to the gym with me. But those posts have made my second guesses even more difficult to deal with. I want to go to the gym with a goal of being healthy for myself, my girlfriend, and everyone who cares about me so I don't die at the age of 51 like my dad. But I'm not going to go if I'm just going to be judged at every thing I do. I know, normally I wouldn't care, but when it's something I've been insecure about my whole life, it still gets to you a little.

TL;DR: The person who made those comps is a dick.
