Here in the Netherlands, you can learn French, German, English, Chinese, Spanish, Japanese, and Italian in a lot of high schools. For once I am proud of my country

The Slovak school system is a complete garbage though
I go to electronic engineering high school and we use equipment from 90s
Basically if you want a proper education you will have to go to a private school where you have to pay 250 Eur every month
This is another reason why I hate this country with burning passion and would nuke it from orbit if I had the chance

Damn that sucks. Here in Germany you have 3 different high schools which you go to based off of how well you did and other skills from your schooling before. So basically if you want to be a doctor, but your skill set and grades say you're more of a carpenter, sucks to be you cause you're going to the ****** school. Luckily, I went to school on the American base so I never ran into this problem.
Just remember though, your school system is still probably better than America's. A lot of their private schools can cost thousands of dollars each year (had a friend go to one costing 10,000 a year)
And thank you! A friend had made it for me a while ago so I continue to use it for them. Here have this cat gif for my thanks.

It might be better than America's school system but the government has been doing massive changes in the school system that is basically putting Slovak students on the American's knowledge standards

Same with my school in the US, except they also taught Russian. Just because I took two years of Spanish in school doesn't mean I know how to speak it years later with no real-life practice.

I've been to plenty of high schools and following in this country, and I have never had the option to learn Chinese, Japanese, Italian
or
Spanish. What part are you in?

Midwest. My cousing even did a bilingual course in spanish.
A school near mine offers Chinese, I've heard about schools offering japanese, and there were even plans to teach Italian at my school.

I wasn't aware of that. I could imagine Spanish, but I figured you'd need a dedicated educational path to have Chinese or Japanese as an option. Anyway, thanks.
