Dalei (China goalkeeper) was 50-50 about which way to dive so he turned around to ask Stephen White the 12 year old ball boy which way he thinks he should go.
When interviewed after the game Stephen said “He asked if he should go left or right. I told him left because that‘s the way I always go in trying to predict where the ball will go."
Dalei saves and China goes on to win the match 1 - 0. China loves the kid right now (Pic related)

So they kinda guess where they're gonna dive.

if it was because the keeper went too recklessly but made a clean tackle it's usually at the ref's discretion if it was too dangerous and he got lucky he got away with it or if it was clean then no point in awarding opponent anything

Yeah, it wasn't beyond the bounds of possibility, but if it was a penalty I'd have said the guy approaching was the dangerous play.
But legit, probably no penalty at all. Super frustrating in a close game, to lose by such a close call any everything.
