The media gets more attention (thus more money) if they scare people

People are stupid and easy to scare

Because it has the potential to spread like wildfire?

But the way Ebola compares to others, it shows its symptoms in about 5-10 days, where **** like TB would take 23 years in hiding, malaria and all the other guys out there. In my opinion I see it as Ebola playing a game of Pandemic pretty sure everyone has played that game some point in their lives with our oh so amazing goverment system we have a low chance of spreading it in our day to day activities course not counting those in west africa sorry guys . People can worry about it, but they're putting too much issue about it.

TB can be treated, I think.
Malaria don't spread through humans and can be treated.
Where ebola... well, you're ****** .

There are lots of cases where TB has become drug resistant, Malaria spreads thru mostly things like mosquito and like you said can be cured, I wanted to use that as an example of a disease that can get around more quickly than Ebola. Ebola is contracted thru human fluids, which isn't as dangerous as airborne, it is still a threat that can be prevented with care.

Prevented, not treated.
That **** is spooky yo.

Well the only reason ebola is considered a high level virus is because no one has ever took the time to find a cure for it, we only now started to worry about it because it dosen't involve the third world anymore.

But who cares about that lets see the death facts.
It takes generally about 25 days for Ebola to kill you once you're infected with a 50%, you die most likely from low blood pressure do to fluid loss. There's a current count from what I recall of 65 people in the US with Ebola.

actually, no virus can really be cured. you can only promote an infected person's body to make more antibodies against it.

yeah, thats what I'm goin fer thx bae
User avatar #13 to #12 - teevee [OP](10/17/2014) [-]
also where did you get the number of 65 people in the US being infected with ebola?

the interwebz, the most reliable source of information in the wurldz. My friend is a medical major and he has like all the facts about Ebola memorized down to the amount of nucliotides its comprised of. He's a trusting source since so far the media only knows that 1 person in texas got it and so does a small amount of others

As said; potential.

There is no cure for love, plus in terms of numbers thats pretty small to the everyday natural causes. The more people infected the more we'd wanna make a cure for it, so we can go back to worrying about other countries with nuclear weapons n stuff.
