Still a dick move if true. Those guys are trusted to put personal greivences aside to protect those that cant protect themselves. These guys just played part in an immature marital feud.

I love how everyone is arguing about a situation that never happened because of some blurry text under a picture of a bunch of fire fighters standing guard.

I can't find the english expression for this "guard standing" or whatever you may call it but this is done if putting out the fire is unnecessary due to the damage already done to the object or the efford being to high. they just stand there and keep the fire from spreading. that's when pictures like this are taken.

Interestingly enough, there's legal precedent (in new york, big ******* surprise) on whether a restraining order takes precedent over a fireman's duty to rescue people and put out fires. It doesn't.

I mean it's funny and cool and all, but can't she still sue the **** out of them for this?

I'm pretty sure it's fake

but she could attempt but it would be a unique position for the court because on one account she has a restraining order against him so if he were to go in he would be breaking it so he is abiding the law by not going in

it would probably work out that the station itself would have to pay instead of one person because the rest of the team could have gone in but it depends if they were included in the restraining order

This is a Picture from the US. I don't know which state, but I remember the story. The house is owned by a person that refused to pay county taxes which pay for services. The fire fighters were forced by the fire marshal not to put out the house fire.

Fun Fact for some of you guise: about 98% of restraining orders are given to women without any evidence of wrong doing on the (usually male) accused part. So a woman getting a restraining order means nothing about the accused and in the vast majority is done by women simply to gain a upper hand in child custody battles and in a study in the mid 90's in the US they found that 95% of restraining orders given to women were without grounds or outright false, only acquired to gain a legal advantage in divorce.

TLDR: A lot of Women are sneaky snakes.

if i were the fire chief and without the restraining order, i'd still watch the house burn..
