Youtube is BY FAR the worst.

>no option to directly see your comment without someone replying to it or searching for it in the comments section
>recently removed thumb rating system from comments
>forces you to make a G+ account AND a page for your channel
>forces you to use simplistic, stupidly designed layout
>changes layout of site every couple of months simply for the sake of changing, often degrading functionality

I like the new layout and in fact I think it's an improvement.

Don't hurt me.

Dear Google,

I love you dearly, your search engine, google products, and google fibre are at the forefront of technology and it is a pleasure browsing with Chrome. I feel, however, that forcing users to create a G+ page is a severe violation of privacy in a new age where anonymity is at risk and more important than ever. No, my friends don't need to know I commented on a music video, they don't need to know I liked the trailer for the next big movie or video game, that is, unless I want them to. Youtube has always struck me as a community, but not one that needs to have a failing social networking site backing it. The YouTube community was already strong and invading privacy is only going to make it weaker.

Signed,

A Concerned User

Every damn day youtube asks me if I want to use my full name.
Every damn day I click "no" and then refresh the page the button won't work properly
Every damn day I plot the brutal and vicious murder of the ******* who thought this was a good idea
Why can't you **** wits leave me to search the comments and watch the "hey-yaa" song in peace?

I posted this on their Facebook. I figure you guys might at least get a small chuckle out of it. Unfortunately I couldn't edit the post to fix that missing finishing quotation mark, so I apologize about that.

I accidentally changed my YouTube channel to be linked with Google. Let me take a moment of your time to explain my sufferings as if I were explaining it to Dante from a ring of Hell.

Everything I post goes immediately to Google + unless I uncheck a box.

There is no option to thumb comments nor is there an option to reply to comments.

I can't check my inbox, nor can I send anything to other users.

There's a bunch of ****** , arbitrary things on my channel that don't work.

They somehow removed my profile pic.

They killed the firstborn sons of all the YouTube users and have painted my channel with their blood.

Whenever I like anything on YouTube, it informs me that I "publicly liked" it, which terrifies me.

Man, **** Google. **** them good and **** them hard.

It's funny because a site like funnyjunk with probably 1 percent of the amount of users and .01 percent the budget has a FAR superior comment section than a multi-billion dollar company.

How is that even possible?

Not really... it's more the point that they are changing anything without helping the overall functionality, in fact they're taking away from it.

I'll use a gaming example for you, You've been playing a game series for so however many years and now the new patch comes out and shuffles your controls around for no apparent point, this didn't help the graphics, it didn't help the gameplay, nothing new was added, so why did they do it? On top of this the game now says you cannot speak in local chat unless you link your account up to their social networking site.

Note, this does not mean we are not open to change, we just want the change to actually accomplish something. The backlash can also be avoided if they simply alerted people they were doing this or even did a beta test or a survey. But instead they launched a hot fix which seemingly just angered people.

TLDR; Rabble Rabble Rabble

Anytime YouTube changes even slightly this happens. Everyone complains and then a couple weeks later it's like nobody even remembers the old system. People stop being so inadvertent to change, please.
#76 to #69 - anonymous (11/08/2013) [-]
I agree with that, but, the new changes are just horrible.

I''m what youtube calls a content creator, so i use youtube quite a bit, not just for entertainment, but for extra money for my family that's doing kinda ****** right now. you can't reply to half the comments, i don't even understand how top comments work anymore, unlimited character has meant more spam lately.....i think we've all managed to get used to other stupid changes, like the channel layout change, but this is the worst thing to happen to the site
#223 - lordxdanswich (11/08/2013) [-]
Yes, I could not agree more. Youtube was fine the way it was, no-one needed or wanted any of this google+ or one channel **** . *******
