Not all cops are bad. I remember my friend was arrested once because he was making some threats. He'd just turned 18 so they took him into the station.. me and my friend followed him there to make sure everything was alright. They took him back into the jail area and left two cops to watch over us in the waiting room.

After a few minutes of awkward silence I finally said "Hey, you guys ever do anything like off of Super Troopers?" Got a death glare from one cop. The other one starts laughing and says "You never know" and winked. Same cop who let me off with a warning when I ran a stop sign a few weeks later.

It depends on the individual, not the profession.

I've been trying to teach my daughter that cops are good people that help you if someone breaks the law and victimizes you.

There was a few police officers down the street from were we where living last year, and me and my daughter went to go walk to ask the police officer for a badge sticker because she was just sitting around standing in one place doing nothing. The cop proceeded by telling me to shut my mouth, and to stop bothering her or she'll put me in jail for obstruction of justice and she'll have my daughter with social services.

I'm sorry lady cop, but **** you too.

The speed limit was 25. It was a wide open road without another car around for miles. I was going 35. I just entered a schoolzone. Cop pulls me over.

$500 fine and a "reckless driving" charge for going slightly over the speed limit in a school zone even though it was 4 o clock on a Sunday.

Yeah, I don't trust police. They're necessary, but they continually act like they're Judge Dredd. I mean look at that **** with Dorner. They shot up a truck with two innocent occupants even though the truck looked nothing like Dorner's truck. I've seen huge amounts of videos of people getting choked, out, tazed, peppersprayed, and otherwise assaulted by police because they don't instantly fall into line and respect their authoritah. And I'm not even going to get into ******** ticky-tack traffic law enforcement

Cops' job isn't to do good, or to help, or to do justice. It's to enforce the law. And the law is just the opinion of 51% of the millionaires in Washington DC. Don't kid yourself.

Every cop ive ever met was an asshole

A cop once hit a ran my car in a parkinglot, i have it on tape

2 cops tazered my friend while he was smoking a cigarette outside. They tazered him 3 times

I had a cop pull a gun on me during a speeding ticket because i use the word "warning". He then proceeded to give me a warning (his words not mine)

Seriously, **** cops. With a cactus.

Funny cop story that happened to me recently
>My buddy and I decide to go to a local shooting range one Saturday
>I have everything I need, shells/clays/thrower/shotgun, but friend needs something from gun store
>Heading to outdoor supply store with a Mosin Nagant, my 12 ga., an M1 Garand, and spam cans of ammo in the trunk
>Idiot cuts us off and we rear-end him
>Friends car is ****** , call my roommate to pic us up
>Cop on scene says roommate has to continue down the highway and get off at the next exit, can't stop near the crash
>understandable, but what the **** do we do about guns and ammo (Haven't said anything to cop yet, too preoccupied w/ crash)
>Everything gets sorted, car abut to be towed and cop is giving us a ride to roommates car.
>Finally tell/show cop of guns & ammo
>Cops FW
>I help cop take all the spam cans and 1 of the guns to his cruiser's trunk
>To the hundreds of people rubbernecking, it looks like a gun deal between cop and I.
>People's FW
>As we (cop, my friend, and I) get closer to to my friends car in the parking lot of a Steakn' Shake, he see's my roommate and asks us "hey, want me to **** with your roommate?"
>HELL YES
>Turns on lights, boxes roommate into parking spot and gets out of car super seriously
>Roommate looks like he is about to **** his pants
>Cop tell him we are being arrested on weapons charges and he's been implicated because he was called to pick them up.
>Roommate is pale as a ******* ghost
>Cop breaks character, tells roommate that we asked him to mess around with him
>Roommate's FW
>Spend another 20 minutes talking to cop about guns and how he likes working for the city I live in

TL;DR: There are some really cool cops out there, they are not all bad like the ones that get the most attention on the news

Honestly I think most cops are great, at least in the country I live in. Just recently got a ride home from them after having some trouble riding my bike. maybe I had had more wine than I can handle but anyways, they walked me to my door and better be them than somebody with bad intentions

My older brother (who was over 18 at the time) hit me and the neighbors heard. They called the cops and when they arrived, my brother changed into his air force uniform and was standing there like he was in basic training again (even though he was medically discharged for an unrelated to service injury). They took one look at him, and one look at me. He told them I suffered from depression and suicidal tendencies and suddenly I am the bad guy and they made me clean up the mess made during the fight before they left me alone with him in the house again.
What started the fight, BTW? I told him at 21 having his life revolving around Yugioh was stupid.

Yeah, about that...
"Moment cop shot dead 19-year-old girl in raid on house party as her friends looked on in horror"

Don't ever call the police if you can avoid it. Don't ever talk to police if you can avoid it. If police show up, get outta there. People with guns are never good for resolving any conflict…

No you should teach your children that police are minimally trained professionals that are more likely to shoot you than the bad guy.

www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/ab/mem-eng.htm
thechronicleherald.ca/metro/1161759-video-the-ultimate-sacrifice

This stuff is why I hate all the **** thrown at cops. The RCMP have given so many lives to their communities, and helped a lot of people, but all everyone sees is the negative. Yes, we get that cops have been bad, but you're letting these negatives moments paint the entire picture for all law enforcement? What does that say about the men and women who were actually following their job, protecting and serving the community? What about the ones that dies to protect others, why don't they ever get put here? A sacrifice is up for maybe a day, and then the person is forgotten.

Also, if you're gonna put up a picture of something happening, like the one claiming a sheriff hit a girl over what turned out to be Tylenol, provide a source maybe, or else it's just as believable as a random story on here, and no one knows if they're true or just made up to get thumbs.

TLDR: There are good and bad cops, never just one side, and maybe it'd be better not to just dwell on the negative but show that there are men and women who have given up everything to keep people safe.
