Can your NES play movies and do all that other unneeded fancy **** that a ps3 can? No, that's probably why it's a lot easier to fix.

Did you just insult the NES?

The original Xbox. you could bash the skull of a home invader in and it would still work.

Note: I do not hate macs, I love macs and PCs equally as my gay lovers. I have no clue as to the actual pricing of macs or the repair costs of macs, let alone the reliability and life of them, but I know I'm very far from what the reality is.

I **** you not; I'm on my 5th Xbox 360. (I've only paid for 1 though)
1st: Got for Christmas 2007. Red rings. Repaired. Craps out again. Out of warranty.
2nd: Buy a new one with Gamestop warranty. Craps out in a month.
3rd: Gamestop replaces it. Craps out in a week.
4th: Gamestop replaces it. Craps out again. Out of warranty.
5th: Rich friend's Xbox red rings. He buys a new one because he doesn't want to wait a month for repairs. He gives me the broken one and I get it repaired. That one's lasted lasted 2 years so I think I'm in the clear.

I don't know if I got like 12 **** hands in a row, but from what I've seen the Xbox is hands down the worst build console ever made. I honestly suspect they're made to break (God knows their mics are). Gamestop absolutely horrible with consoles too. When you have a warranty with them they replace your xbox with a "refurbished" one. They literally keep them in a pile in the back room collecting dust. I was actually given one replacement that stopped working the same night I got it. (I didn't count that on the list)

I love the **** out of my NES, my SNES, my N64, so on and so forth. The thing is, the reason modern consoles have a shorter lifespan is because they are relatively more complex than these older consoles, and they have to be in order to play the games that come out.

Maybe $10 in the modern era

-in 1986 they were $125-$150 and the games were $30-$45

a N64 was 199.99 and games were $50-$60

Old consoles are ******* indestructible compared to newer ones.

Mainly because older electronics are less sensitive to damage.

This is a Nintendo Security Screw, this is what the NES is held together with, you either need to buy a special tool or make your own.

i got my 360 in 2009 and NEVER had red ring or overheat. It freezes every now and then, but every console/computer is the same way
