I love how the picture is of the big Mcdonald's "M" as if it wasn't entirely the employees who were to blame.

I have no doubt they will be fired. There's not much Mcdonald's the company could've done to prevent the manager from hiring such dumbasses. And unless the manager was involved too - there's not a good way of him knowing they'd be that dumb in that regard. You shouldn't need to have a training program for all your employees to know that blind people are allowed guide dogs. Even if you've established with them that dogs aren't allowed - only a stupid AND horrible human being would not AT LEAST go check with whoever is in charge to confirm that the blind person can have their dog.

And with each ****** thing these dumbasses do, the closer we get to these being standard in all Mcdonald's.

I rather have those machine instead of the hood rat ******* that work near me
User avatar #27 to #22 - quantumranger (08/29/2015) [-]
Especially since with a machine you don't have to wait for someone to place your order

i live in norway, and people from that part of the country are mostly idiots or seen that way by fellow norwegians
i worked at burger king, so i assume it must be the same, the employees wouldn't have cared a bit if she had the dog or not, it is the bosses who care, so, it was either the shift leader or how that is translated who gave the order or someone superior.
funny thing is, it is company policy to negate everything that happens and refuse to talk. the only ones allowed to speak about the incident are the bosses

True. Either way though, it is the fault of whatever idiots led that decision, not the entire corporation.

And I have little doubt that said idiots will be fired or at least not be working registers anymore.

Yeah you should definitely boycott your local McDonald's for what this one did in Norway. I'm pretty sure this particular McDonald's has a sign out front that says explicitly that this is the McDonald's to end all McDonald's and it was Ronald ******* McDonald himself who threw out the blind woman.

Yeah! One member of a corporation shouldn't be held accountable for all of them! Just like one black person shouldn't.... wait never mind

The fault is not with McDonalds though.
It was never made clear that she was blind, before she went to the news.
They're supposed to carry a card around, and show it in "resturants" so that they can have their pet with them.
She simply forgot to show the card, and when faced with eviction cried like a little bitch, and took orders.
There are also some blame to give to the manager, that didn't give proper training to his employees, so that they would know how to handle this situation.

**thehistorylover rolled image**Dude. Seeing Eye Dogs have special jackets on them so you can look at them and see that they are for helping the blind. You don't even need a card.

Oh no, not her feelings. Feelings are the most important thing ever. Hurting feelings is mean. (Note my sarcasm)

actually we are looking at a number of crimes here.
if they did not realize their mistake they should have compensated the woman for her meal.
if it was no mistake they committed fraud, because they planned to take that woman's money without srvicing her

I get this may happen once, whatever.

You think after its on the news once, any 1/3rd brain Mcdonald's employee would be able to calculate that they probably should not kick out someone with a clearly labeled dog and a card.

But then again, maybe that's why they work at Mcdonald's.
#25 to #24 - anon (08/29/2015) [-]
That and given most of them are ******* idiots and lazy slobs not all of them I know but most are ******* either ghetto trash or ******* useless.

It is, to my knowledge, uncommon for people to know that seeing-eye dogs have special rights compared to other animals.

I keep hearing that the visually impaired who need seeing-eye dogs are time and again denied cab fares. Additionally, there are issues with dogs and plane rides, but I am not very knowledgeable about that, other than that they can be denied purchasing tickets if someone else has listed that he or she is very allergic to dogs.

These dogs are also allowed into restaurants, according to the law. That does not mean they are occasionally denied access, of course, but that is at the same time a violation of the law.

Basically, the dog is allowed access wherever a customer is allowed access.

Where I come from, every restaurant has a sign telling you that seeing eye dogs are allowed inside, not for the blind people, but for anyone who feels like bitching about it.

One of my dogs is a retired breeding dog for Guide Dogs in England. When she still belonged to Guide Dogs (we fostered her during her working years and then adopted her) she had her "Guide Dog Breeding Stock" flash tag on her lead, which by law entitles her to go into any establishment, as she is technically still a Guide.
We've had several incidents of people coming up and asking us to leave the shop because of her, ignoring her tag completely. When challenged, most places who kicked up a fuss said "we don't care, no dogs" despite signs on the front of the shop saying "guide dogs welcome" or whatever. Each and every time we called them up on it.
To date, six employees of various companies have been disciplined or fired due to their lack of compassion for the blind.
Ultimately, if a blind person had gone into those shops with their dog, they would have been treated the same way.

I have an assistance dog (pictured, right) and I often take her into McDonalds to chat up the girls at the register. Too bad they all think I have autism

You guys are retarded.

It was a dog in a restaurant. Yeah, it sure was a seeing eye dog. But it was a dog, and they can't be having dogs in a restaurant.

What the **** else are they going to do.
