I think its funny that in the first game you would die if you just step into a puddle, and now the game takes place mostly in water

It's because he had a heavy ass sword tied to him and he was raised in the desert so they never taught him how to swim. They just passed it off as an animus glitch for the story though.

Etzio could wield an ax and still go for a swim.
but thats not the point, what I mean is that the story goes from dry land to have more and more water,
at this rate the next game will happen in a nuclear sub during WW2 or something.

Except Ezio was raised in Venice, a city literally built mostly on water.
Most of the people in Venice would be able to swim, since half of it is on water.
I think Ezio will be trained better in swimming than Altair ever will be.

Ezio was raised in Fiorenze, thus the name, Ezio auditore da Fiorenze

Florence is Firenze in the english language.
Same way that Roma is Rome in English.

I was in Firenze's general area in August, but my family didn't visit it because my younger sisters wouldn't appreciate the day trip it would have required.
I'm still somewhat bothered about the missed chance of visiting it.

And it's either Fiorenza (I think this is the older/dialect way Italians say it) or Firenze.
