According to a recent survey 47% of gamers are female.Most people game, Its a gender neutral activity at this stage. We are highly underrepresented in the gaming industry. In my opinion this is because whenever I mention casually about a new game I've been playing that I think other people will enjoy I'm bombarded with question after question in order to prove I'm a 'true gamer'. The same applies to most of my female friends who attend cons. They're either called 'friendzoning bitches' or 'attention whores' for cosplaying a character they love, that through no fault of their own has been designed with a skimpy costume. Yes there is what people call fake gamer girls, but they're an extremely loud minority.
The fact that you are agreeing with someone who believes that women only game because of the Big Bang Theory is as awful as the show.
There is no way to win.I honestly don't even know why I go on this site anymore, it seems that the majority of fj has a bitter hatred of all women.

Im a part of a decent sized gaming community which is around 200 active members.
Guess how much females we got? 2
In all my years of not having a real social life ive met maybe 5-6 female gamers and thousands of male.

My point was, and I do apologize for the rambling comment, that myself and many other female gamers don't really talk about it , for fear of being mocked and interrogated in order to prove we're not faking our interest. Most of us just game together or in private, because that is the only way we know that none of this will happen.

Not saying there aren't hardcore female gamers, but not nearly as many as there are male. And by hardcore, I don't mean **** like Darksouls, I mean dedicated to games that aren't only played for social reasons or when there's nothing else to do. But they aren't a majority like you claim they are. I honestly empathize with the fact that most female characters in games look like cumdumpsters, but a lot of the people making the games are socially inept nerds who overly sexualize things, and the only way to stop that is to make your own **** , or boycott the sexualized **** .

And the reason nobody trusts 'girl gamers' is because nobody likes being taken advantage of. It's up to you to change the stereotype.
