Although it is not clearly a form of self-passing, leading the ball is one of the most common ways to pass to yourself. This typically occurs when trying to catch a defender off guard by quickly changing your pace and rushing up-court. You can use this legal form of self-passing in one of two ways. I'm not that big on basketball. But I found it wierd that this was alowed. But I sepose he did to many steps during the bounce which is counted as a legal form of self passing. You can only do 2/3 steps acording to the dribbling rules. So he bounced then did 4 steps making it a fault? I live in a country that's not realy involved in this form of sport. But that's what I make of it.
