iyr (01/11/2016) [-] He's referring to a whole chapter of TPP being cut, not the release of the actual game. I never played Half-Life so I never really understood the pain har of Half-Life fans not getting HL3 until I played TPP. Now I'm sitting here waiting patiently for Chapter 3 to be released in some form even though it's very well possible it will never happen.

Does Big Boss ever meet David?
I HAVE TO KNOW.
And then there's Silent Hills. God that looked amazing. I would've bought a PS3 just to play it tbh.

Imma put this in spoilers cause it spoils 2 games I guess, but yeah they do meet. Naked Snake/Big Boss/ John meets Solid Snake/David when he joins Foxhound. Venom/Punished Snake/ "Big Boss"/ The medic from Ground Zeros meets Solid Snake as venom leads Outer Heaven pretending to be Big Boss. That way, after he's killed by solid during the MSX game Metal Gear, the real Big Boss escapes and the patriots think he's dead I know a **** ton of the series, ask away...

If you really wanna know: Only some of it is speculation, the rest was parts of other games.
I would imagine that Kojima intended it to be fully destroyed in chapter 3, otherwise it would be the metal gear in Metal Gear.
Big Boss tracks down the children and defeated Eli, it's implied that he was gonna be an hero but Mantis stopped him, after which Eli asked him to leave to not be captured. He joined the british air forces, was captured during an operation and rescued by the US. Zanzibar Land incident happened and he resented Solid for taking his revenge, joined FOXHOUND with Mantis again. Queue MGS1
After leaving, Mantis joined the KGB. After the fall of the USSR, he joined the FBI where he entered the minds of criminals to assist investigations. On one such case, he dove too deeply into the mind of a serial killer and kinda went nuts. Liquid found him again, queue MGS1
Big Boss eventually becomes the leader of Foxhound, the unit which David joins/ is recluted into which leads to the events of Outer Heaven, then Zanzibar Land

So far Kojima has called Metal Gear his child and Silent hill more of a ... "Step child" in his family. He said if anything ever happened then he'd try is best to get them back on track... This was when MGS3 came out.
Soo Kojima has 2 options. Get back atleast one of the titles from konami who wont even use it. Or make something better then MGS. That will make the CEO of Konami know he ****** up. Even in MGS2, Konami was holding kojima back from his desires and expansions. If Kojima had his way. MGS4 would have looked like MGSV. And had hired a sub devision to devote to a VR device

But in GZ major zero decides to help BB which is a bit weird, though I must admit I haven't listen to all the truth tapes in TPP yet.

More spoilers about Paz if you're interested. There are hidden tapes about Paz in Peacewalker. 2 sets of diaries. The first normally unlocked set is the fake Paz's diary, the second is the real Paz's. She began so agree with Big Boss the longer she was on MSF. She, as a soldier, saw MSF as a true heaven. All different races, genders, countries, ideals working as one peacefully under big boss/ the bosses dream. Eventually she was going to fully turn when Cipher (probably Skull Face) figured out she was going to change sides and threatened her into stealing ZEKE and finishing the plan. Then Chico found out she was a spy, and she had to go through with it. She WAS an ally in the end. As for Zero, watch the ending cut scene from MGS4 again. Zero and John were friends, he was Zeros only friend. Also, the world and the patriots needed Big Boss as an icon that people would rally to. Zero could never allow him to die. The truth tapes in TPP expand on this

I mean, really? You know that Kojima loved the metal gear series like his own ******* child and showed multiple times that he truly cared about the game AND the people that play it.
The dude went to one of his fans houses (who had passed away from cancer) and PERSONALLY gave his parents a copy of metal gear (also signed) and other **** as well as personally listening to their stories about him and reading his stuff and taking interest in this kid.
Now that's irrelevant to the game itself, but it shows his dedication and humble attitude.
If he had the choice, I'm sure he would have made MG5 PP 110% done... But I believe that konami kept him from doing so.
Honestly, the whole ordeal is ******* sad (and pathetic for konami) and I don't understand why some people (maybe not you) hate on Kojima for Metal gear 5 being half the game it could have been.

He seems like a "champion", someone who will persevere no matter what obstacles he has to face.
One of the most dedicated Game devs I've ever seen, I'll say that much.
