A video I found of a guy who made some 'homemade' snow tires, they are pretty cool & allow for great control but, they would tear up the roads. However, if you are in a part of the northern hemisphere, this winter, maybe; not a bad idea. Get good, family!
The first time he goes off the bike and has it roll over him he's going to discover that his tire mods also make them into highly effective meat grinders.
I can't see them being that durable tbh with that many holes in them. And I keep thinking if he's on a frozen lake, only the top is usually frozen, with those spikes if he goes over the same spot enough he's going to wear it down, who knows.
The washer that he put on the bolts keep the rubber from getting torn up. For the surface of the lake wearing down; that would depends on how cold it gets. Some lakes freeze more than 2 feet thick with ice.
Dude. The tire's not meant to be punctured, nor are the bolts meant to be loadbearing spikes like that. There's gonna be some serious shrapnel before long.
there's a manufacturer for these already, solid rubber instead of inflatable with softer rubber so that in the summer the prongs are less exposed to the road
