General Consenseus of Norms on tumblr

anonymous said
Who' s users are more stupid khan or tumblr{ not that all users of
khan and tumblr are dumb}
unstirred E
Honestly? Tu mblr.
A lot of the people on khan will act like unapologetic assholes,
but at least they' re not selfrighteous about it. And, if shown
legitimate proof of something, (based on what We seen) they' ll
usually accept it, whereas Tumblr prefers to pass around bogus
statistics, and cling to emotional pleas, rather than logic.
khan often behaves like idiots, but they' re aware that they' re
behaving we idiots. That' s the whore point. People go there to
be anonymous assholes on purpose. Meanwhile, Tumblr is fillet)
with bullies and rejects that think they' re doing the Work) a
goddamn favor by acting like snide, entitled little **** mongers-
khan will call you a "faggot" regardless of gender identity, Which
appears to be generally understood to the point where no one
even gives a **** anymore-
Tumblr becomes irrationally outraged when you somehow don' t
already magically know the "preferred pronouns" of someone you
hadn' t even heard of before, even when these "pronouns" are
complete crocks of **** like "muhself', or "princessren'. They then
become indignant if you don' t tall to your knees and cater to
every last one of their demented little demands, and treat them
like the extra special little snowflake that they think they are.
khan field's obvious inflammatory comments with relative ease,
simply by dismissing them as stupid, humming them tor a laugh,
or ignoring them from the start. When vitriol does happen, at
least it' s mostly reserved to two morons having a witless tennis
match of words while everyone else goads them on tor the sake
of entertainment-
Tumblr takes every goddamn thing as though it' s deem]: *******
serious, to the point where people are afraid to voice their
opinions on their favorite cookies, lest it somehow "offends"
khan will bust your nuts until you can prove a claim you' re
made.
Tumblr will gladly make viral the "news" that the shy has suddenly
turned neon green, and is raining Nickelodeon Gak - if there' s
enough of an emotional, impassioned plea to do so- Especially if
they claim their "child" or "younger sibling" saw (and was upset
by) this "incident".
If you like something, and express it, khan will tell you it' s terrible
just to piss you om
Do this on Tumblr, and someone will claim you' re "oppressing
them" simply because they done happen to like it. Then, through
emotional manipulation, they try to spread the mindset that you' re
somehow "scum" just tor enjoying something that they don' t-
While I wouldn' t recommend it as a place to go to "have tun",
khan has actually become more welcoming than tumblr at this
point.
And that' s just ******* sad.
rightest:
i legit feel like happy crying look at the notes
this is beautiful
can i traine it
the italian one
khan has actually become more welcoming than tumblr at this point-"
I' ll drink to that.

ha ha

>>if shown legitimate proof of something they'll usually accept it
only is it supports their preconceived notions, anything else is either ignored or swept to the side as a 'jewish ess jay dubya ****** anti-whtie cultural marxist conspiracy'.

>4chan has actually become more welcoming than tumblr at this point
it depends on what group you belong to, the same goes fro tumblr

Maybe don't focus on /pol/ so much.
User avatar #3 to #2 - raisin (12/15/2015) [-]
but it's not just /pol/, that's most if not all of the most popular boards.
User avatar #5 to #3 - scivir [OP](12/15/2015) [-]
There's only like 4 popular boards
which includes /b/, /a/, /v/, and probably /int/ or /vg/
All the other boards are fine though and usually just discuss the topics of what they entail.

Seriously if you ever went on /tv/ instead of just saying "it's a meme board" you'd find out that they actually discuss Television and Film but usually with all the **** being poured out in theaters nowadays it's hard not to ******** about it at all.

A good example of what you can find on /tv/ easily that isn't people posting memes constantly if you just try a little.
And even then baneposting threads are ******* hilarious to be in especially if a OC-Maker is about usually i can do that too if I feel like trying.

There's also /mu/ which everyone says likes NMH, Vaporwave, and Death Grips.
There's a LOT of threads and almost none of them are what people say.
Hell the Vaporwave thread died at 20 posts, usually people are content with keeping to different threads for specifics on what they enjoy kind of like sharethreads which is where most people go for vaporwave sharing and enjoyment and discuss it sometimes.

The biggest reason why most boards on 4chan are completely misunderstood and stereotyped is because noone ever really makes a big effort to go look at it themselves and just look at images and say "lol funny" and make it a big stereotype like how /tv/'s favorite director is James Cameron(this is actually a cruel joke started by a Tripfag named Abatap back when Avatar was released and post-released he would Spam threads on /tv/ everyday about Avatar being the greatest high-grossing film of all time and would not stop because noone on /tv/ actually liked it because of the lack of depth in it's storytelling and now mediocre and dated visuals compared to other CGI-heavy films because of how lackluster they may be.)

tl;dr 4chan boards are stereotyped and if you go on them you might get something entirely different than what you expected unless it was a popular board.

also another thing people that say 'DUDE IT'S JUST /POL/ LMAO xD' like to forget/ignore/dont know is that /pol/ has pretty much colonized many of the boards. You're getting some pushback on some boards like /v/ but /pol/ beliefs are still extremely popular.

/tv/ has plenty of black bashing, like other boards it just depends on what threads you browse. Do you not remember the first hundred+ Star Wars Episode 7 threads? Or the F4 threads? You're correct in saying that there is actual discussion about television and film but that does not mean the things I mentioned in my first comment don't exist on other boards.

1. People on /tv/ were complaining about John Boyega being casted purely just because of "Diversity" not because he was black.
2. Being casted for Diversity is literally racism but it's progressive it a warped mental view just because
3. He was not casted for his acting ability or screen charisma because he was only wanted for his apperance and skin color
4. It's also going to be a ******* awful movie because in recent spoiler leaks Han Dies, Finn gets his hand cut off and replaced with a cybernetic, it's mostly just going to be callbacks and major plot points of the original trilogy and the "Death Planet" is going to destroy entire solar systems?
5. Finn was originally supposed to be a White, Blonde, Blue-eyed male in concept art and he was also supposed to die if what some anons say is right

And for Fantastic Four
1. It was already confirmed going to be awful when we saw The Thing
2. Johnny Storm has always been white and blonde-haired, he was played by Chris Evans originally even who now plays Captain America
3. Again casted for "Diversity"

And if you ask the reasoning for "Diversity" castings it's so they can do a bigger mass-market appeal of getting minorities to see movies because they think that's how it works and not just by being good movies.
I'm not racist or anything at all and I'd appreciate it if people actually put thought behind casting People who aren't white as Main Characters if they want to but holy **** casting John Boyega who already had a career and steady line of work instead of a young black actor who could potentially be the next Mark Hamill in the series?
Gee wizz what a great idea.

Oscar Isaac is probably the only thing I'm looking forward to in the new movies considering Daisy Ridley and John Boyega are the literally most uncharismatic and boring people to look at, he reminds me a lot of Karl Urban.

> 1. People on /tv/ were complaining about John Boyega being casted purely just because of "Diversity" not because he was black.

How dishonest, that wasn't at all the main complaint people had, if you browsed the threads the main complaint was his looks and a potential IR relationship in the movie. The threads were full of people making racialy charged insults, there were some people that complained about him being cast for "diversity" but they were the minority.

> 2. Being casted for Diversity is literally racism but it's progressive it a warped mental view just because

sure

>3. He was not casted for his acting ability or screen charisma because he was only wanted for his apperance and skin color

never mind all of the nominations he recieved for 'Attack on the Block' right? They wanted a black actor, but not just any black actor, they wanted one that wasn't really famous but one that was also talented. I get what you're saying here but your claim is a bit dishonest.

attackofthefanboy.com/news/john-boyega-describes-finn-in-star-wars-7-the-force-awakens/
>Boyega first described on the first time J.J. Abrams called him to be in Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens. Abrams was a fan of Attack of the Block “and we were waiting for a project where we could collaborate” he said

>5. Finn was originally supposed to be a White, Blonde, Blue-eyed male in concept art
can you post the blonde haired blue eyed Finn concept art? I cant find it

You're right about the Fantastic 4, and I dont at all mind people complaining about forced diversity, just be consistent and be honest, dont go on some racist tirade about ******* (which may have nothing to do with movie casting) and then hide behind the 'i just dont like forced diversity excuse'.

Thinking someone is ugly isn't Racist and also there's nothing Dishonest about what I say you can keep syaing that but that's just you.
And Casting for diversity is racist because its just picking non-whites, non-asians, and pushing them in roles not for their acting talent or charisma but because of their skin color.

In my opinion as well Attack the Block was very mediocre and all of John Boyega's scenes in the new star wars trailers are just him breathing heavily with a shocked expression on his face.

This response might be jumbled because I went Mobile but you can say racist all you want but you just outright called Blacks " ******* "
User avatar #11 to #10 - raisin (12/15/2015) [-]
"Thinking someone is ugly isn't Racist "
More dishonesty, point me to where I claimed ot even implied that they are racist for saying he is ugly.

>And Casting for diversity is racist because its just picking non-whites, non-asians, and pushing them in roles not for their acting talent or charisma but because of their skin color.

but they arent just picked for their race, their race plays a role but they're not just snatching any bum off of the street like you're pretending they do when you claim 'pushing them in roles not for their acting talent or charisma'.

>all of John Boyega's scenes in the new star wars trailers are just him breathing heavily with a shocked expression on his face.

you've seen the movie already? That was just in the in first few trailers. Also I dont really see how that's a problem.

>but you just outright called Blacks " ******* "
I was using in in a mocking way, not in a hateful way

who the **** cares? why are you people so insecure that you need reassurance that your website of choice is better than someone else's website of choice? discussing your internet browsing tendencies as if they personally identify you or are some bold political opinion is cringe as **** . you're people, not a website
User avatar #17 to #15 - severepwner (12/16/2015) [-]
Different internet communities act differently and have different social norms.

Discussing the difference between these communities isn't cringe in my opinion.
